Ingredients

  • 1 28 oz can Pork & Beans
  • 1/2 lb Bacon
  • 1 Onion, chopped
  • 1/2 Green Pepper, chopped
  • 1/4 cup Chili Sauce not the spicy kind
  • 1 tbsp Mustard
  • 1 tbsp Worchestershire Sauce
  • 2 tbsp Maple syrup
  • 2 tbsp Brown sugar
  • 1 pinch Kosher salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees

  2. Cook bacon in pan until partially done and starting to brown. It will finish cooking in the oven. Cut into small pieces.

  3. Remove bacon from pan. Add in onion & green pepper and cook until softened.

  4. Add rest of the ingredients to pan including the bacon. Bring to a boil. Pour into a casserole dish. You can add longer strips of bacon to the top of the casserole if desired.

  5. Cover & bake 45 minutes to 1 hour, until hot & bubbly.
