Under The Barnyard Light Review & Giveaway!
Under the Barnyard Light is a delightful new children’s book written by Carla Crane Osborne and illustrated by Brandon Dorman. Written in verse rather than prose, the story is one of love and caring as a little girl and her father feed and say good night to their farm animals on a snowy winter evening. The beautiful illustrations are as soft as the barnyard light and give a warm feeling to each page. My grandson (age 7) loved the story and the images, found it easy to read at his 2nd grade level, and very enthusiastically gave the book a triple thumbs up!
“Even in the dark of the winter, the animals need to be fed. Step into the magical world of a young girl on a farm full of small wonders. Beneath the barnyard light, feed warm milk to the calves, catch snowflakes on your tongue, and give a kiss to Dandy the horse.”
Under the Barnyard Light was published by Gogonago in November 2020 and contains 26 pages with a suggested reading age 3-5 years.
