- Every 2 months $39

- Every 12 months $198
We were excited to receive the Try The World Special Edition Holiday Box for 2015! This box comes with a great variety of yummy treats from all over the globe that would make great gifts or provide lots of stocking stuffers! Or you can do like we do and just eat your way through the box.
Included in each box of tasty food is a companion Culture Guide that includes finds like recipes, a playlist and photos/descriptions of each item in the box so you can experience each country’s culture. This box had a suggested playlist of 10 holiday songs from around the world. There is a story behind each item and in this special box you feel as though you have gone on a world tour as you explore each item with its background.
Chocolate Truffles – Truffettes de France 3.5 oz (Canada)
These exquisite truffles are coated with cocoa powder for a luscious finish. Originally produced in France, they were so popular in Canada that now they are produced in Quebec. They (of course!) pair well with ice cream.
Mixed Berries – Biokia 50 gm (Finland)
This is a dried real berry mix containing wild and little known berries such as bilberries and lingonberries. They are full of fiber, vitamins and antioxidants.
Yerba Mate Tea – Teatonics 8 teabags (UK)
England is known for love of tea so it was no surprise that their chosen holiday product was Holiday Energy Tea. And we need all the energy we can get over the holidays! This is an organic South American super-herb tea blended with citrus and mint for morning vitality and focus.
Gingersnaps – Nyakers 5.3 oz (Sweden)
This is a box of wafer thin vanilla gingersnaps traditionally baked in Sweden. It contains about 30 cookies, enough to share!
Panettone – G. Cova & C. 1.76 oz (Italy)
This is a classic sweet bread from Milan, traditionally marked with a cross by the head of the family as a good omen for the new year. This company claims their packaged bread is just as good as home made.
Extra-Virgin Olive Oil – Sindyanna of Galilee 3.38 oz (Israel)
This olive oil is grown, harvested & cold pressed by a co-op of Arab and Jewish women in northern Israel. I think this joint venture speaks for itself.
Cookies – Orientines 3.5 oz (Morocco)
These all natural apricot cookies come from “genuine recipes and the selection of noble ingredient.” Made by a small company, they are a taste of tradition and great with some tea and conversation.
Acai Dessert Sauce – Bazzar 4.23 oz (Brazil)
Made with acai, guarana & banana, this ready to eat sauce is to pour over ice cream, yogurt, granola or fruit. It is high on antioxidants and low on guilt!
Try The World has individual items and other flavors of some of the things they send in The Shop. So you can purchase additional items and receive special discounts and offers if you are a subscriber. Each month’s box can vary in contents, so a month’s box might be different for two different people.
Of the 8 items in this Holiday Box, there is not one that we won’t enjoy. For $39, the average price of each imported, artisan-made item is under $5 apiece and that is a good deal!
