Throw & Grow Wildflower Seed Balls
I found Tiny Yellow Bungalow while doing some late-night perusing on Instagram and knew I wanted to support this business and get some great stocking stuffers for my family & friends this holiday season!
Tiny Yellow Bungalow began as an experimental blog in sustainability and has recently added a sweet little eco-conscious online shop!
Our mission in creating this shop is to provide a simple one stop locale to purchase natural products. We’ve done the work of reading labels and reviews and found the best authentically healthful products on the market and amassed them in one place for your convenience.
It’s also important to us that we not only sell honest eco products but we also strive to package and ship our products eco consciously. We use pre-used boxes and shipping materials whenever possible and encourage our customers to reuse, recycle, or compost our shipping materials.
I love absolutely everything in the Tiny Yellow Bungalow shop. There are reusable produce bags, bamboo toothbrushes, stoneware, handbags, soap bars and more! It took everything I had to stop myself from buying everything (for myself) and focus on the task at hand…
Throw & Grow Wildflower Seed Balls – $12.00
I knew I found the perfect gifts for stockings as soon as I saw these brightly colored wildflower seed balls and immediately ordered two sets! Every set contains 20 seed balls that are all handmade using recycled paper scraps. They contain seeds from annual and perennial flowers (Catchfly, Snapdragon, White Yarrow, Shirley Poppy, Red Prairie Coneflower, and Sweet Alyssum)
Directions for Planting: Pre-soak the seed balls in a shallow dish of water for about 1 minute prior to planting. Place the seed balls under a thin 1/4 inch layer of soil (in an inside planter or outside during spring-early fall). Recommended spacing between seed balls is 2 inches. Water and keep soil moist through seed germination, then water plants as needed. Germination typically takes 4-7 days and flower should start to bloom at around 12-14 weeks.
I always save gift bags, tissue paper, and boxes from previous holidays and birthdays to reuse or repurpose in the future. (Jonathan says I’m a hoarder… I like to think of myself as a thrifty gifter!) While rummaging through our closet, I found a great paper gift card box that we received two years ago which worked splendidly for wrapping up these beautiful handmade throw & grow wildflower seed balls for my father-in-law! I also reused the cute origami boxes (made with magazine pages) that were sent by Tiny Yellow Bungalow!
My friends and family are going to LOVE these little gifts and I know the bees, butterflies and birds will really enjoy them in the springtime! This will definitely be one of my go-to online stores for my own home and future gift-giving ideas! My only regret is not holding back any seed balls for my own garden!
What do you think of Tiny Yellow Bungalow?

I love growing things and these would be so much fun to plant.
Do you have a coupon code for this site? I would love some of those for the grandchildren!!
Hi! These seed balls were a hit over the holidays and everyone loved them! Tiny Yellow Bungalow is still a small shop and unfortunately does not have coupon codes available right now. I’ll keep you posted if this changes! Your grandchildren would love planting these pretty seed balls and watching the flowers grow!
I love the throw and grow seed balls! I got some for myself, and another order as a Christmas! So excited to plant in the spring!
