The Curated Tee November 2015 Review, Coupon & Giveaway!
The Curated Tee is a t-shirt subscription company for young children. Owned and operated by two mama besties, these hip chicks make beautiful, affordable, gender-neutral t-shirts and infant onesies that expose kids to different forms of art. Each month a guest artist creates a unique design that is screen-printed onto soft USA-made cotton tees. In conjunction with each month’s tee, subscribers receive an email with a digital download to print out and work on. It includes a full-page reproduction of the month’s design AND extension activities based around the image and art style.
The Homespun Chics paid for this subscription. All opinions are 100% our own. A giveaway prize is provided by the two loving mamas of The Curated Tee. This post may contain affiliate links.

November 2015 The Curated Tee “Animal Heroes”
I couldn’t wait for Little G to see this month’s t-shirt! He loves opening all of the boxes we receive, but especially loves when the packages are for him! Due to this extreme excitement, I was not able to capture Little G actually opening the box, but the shirt arrived in an adorable printed brown paper “lunch” bag and was shipped in a white box via USPS First Class Mail.
This month’s shirt design was created by Betsy Petersen. This Texas-based artist has an Etsy shop where she sells custom family portrait paintings to families around the world! I love her style and wish I planned ahead to secure a family portrait from her in time for Christmas! (Jonathan’s grandmother would have LOVED that!)
Little G was so surprised to open up his Curated Lunch Bag to find his new tee! When he pulled it out, he said, “Oh!! Look mommy, it’s a SHIRT!!” We loved this unique packaging and will definitely repurpose the brown paper bag in future crafts!
Little G LOVED the animals on this month’s shirt! He pointed to each one, telling me which animals were which and then he attempted all of the animal sounds. It was really funny when he got to Shamu and realized he didn’t know what a whale sounded like… he just looked at me and quickly said, “Mooooooo!”
NOTE: When I placed my order for the 3-month subscription, I chose for Little G to receive Size 2T. When he held the shirt up to his body, I realized that he is quickly outgrowing this size. (Waahh!) I sent an email to The Curated Tee asking if I could upgrade the future shirts to 4T (the next available size) and received a very fast response letting me know that this wouldn’t be a problem! Additionally, I was able to return the “Animal Heroes” 2T to swap it for the larger size! (Which is why there isn’t a picture of Little G actually wearing it yet!) In order to swap out a shirt you have already received, The Curated Tee must have the requested size available in inventory and your original shirt needs to be unused, unwashed, etc. and sent back with all original packaging. How easy is that??
Every Curated Tee comes with an emailed digital download to print out and work on with your little one! The front page looks like a composition notebook cover. The cover is labeled, “The Curated Activi-Tee,” which I think is so cute! Not only does this packet include a print-out of November’s design, but it also explains more about the artist, the background behind the design, an extensive recommended book list, and fun activities that tie in with the current month’s theme! It is very obvious that a lot of time and love goes into each month’s curation and I love every bit of it!
All onesie subscriptions include an activity card that is sent in your package! This is such a great inclusion for the wee tots receiving boxes! This month’s card offers a fun sensory activity as well as book recommendations for babies. I was very excited to see the Usborne series, “That’s not my…,” on this list, since Little G owns three of these (very well-worn) books. These books are SO great for babies & toddlers. I have purchased these books for gifts several times over the years. Little G started with That’s Not My Kitten, which we HIGHLY recommend!
My Thoughts
I love every facet of The Curated Tee and couldn’t be happier with what we’ve received. This subscription is really unique and provides much more than a beautiful t-shirt every month. I only wish I had a bajillion dollars so I could purchase every shirt still available on The Curated Tee’s product page! Don’t forget to use coupon code: CURATEDLOVE to receive 15% off a 3-month subscription OR 3-month gift card!!!
These mamas are doing so much to help children develop a deeper understanding of art and I am honored to support their company and mission. Plus, my toddler is seriously rocking some amazing artwork!
