Sweese Butter Keeper Crock Review
We love to use real butter at my house, no artificial stuff for us! But it is easy to get tempted by the soft (and expensive) tubs of buttery spreads for every day use because real butter comes out of the refrigerator as hard as a brick. So when Sweese sent us one of their butter keeper crocks to review, I was happy to finally find out how to keep my real butter creamy soft and accessible for that quick slice of bread and butter that tastes so good mid-afternoon!
This pretty butter keeper crock has a top part for the butter and a bottom part for the water. It is SO easy to use!
You just pour cold water into the bottom part up to the fill line.
The top part holds a stick of butter (1/2 cup) and part of another stick if you pack it down well. You just soften it a bit (I used the microwave) and put the butter into the bell-shaped lid of the crock.
Then pack the butter down. When you put the two pieces together the water makes an airtight seal. You should change the water every day or two and your butter stays fresh for a month right on your table. So you get soft butter for your morning waffle as soon as you get up!
The Sweese butter keeper crock is easy to use and top rack dishwasher safe. It comes in your choice of 5 different colors and is made from durable professional grade porcelain – a type of premium LEAD-FREE and NON-TOXIC ceramic, chip-resistant and more sturdy than stoneware. Plus this butter keeper crock comes with a 30 DAY NO-CHIP WARRANTY – Sweese will offer a free replacement or refund if anything goes wrong with the product.

I’ve been wanting to get one of these for awhile now. I hate cold hard butter.
I am such a Europhile (not to mention a devotee of real butter), I have been coveting one of these.
