Spring 2017 BeautyCon Box Review
BeautyCon is a quarterly beauty subscription box that ships once each quarter. The cost is $29/quarter or $99/yearly for a prepaid annual subscription. A set shipping charge of $6.99 is also added to each box. BeautyCon ships to the US only.
“The Beautycon Box is a seasonal subscription box with beauty & lifestyle products curated by the best content creators in beauty! Our boxes have over $100 worth of product shipped straight to your door each season.”

First peek! This is always such a fun box loaded with full size cosmetics!
The past few boxes have had images of the box curator on the card, but this month we have a pretty rose design.
The product information card has a list of each item – no pricing, descriptions, or photos – but it’s a great way to check that nothing is missing.
Garnier SkinActive – 25 Micellar Makeup Removing Towelettes ($5.99)
Designed with silk-infused fibers, these towelettes cleanse, remove makeup and soothe skin in just one swipe. No need to rinse, either. I have used their micellar water and love it, now it is in towelette form! For all skin types, fragrance-free.
Luxie – Duo Fibre Powder Brush 516 ($22)
This is a super soft, synthetic bristle powder brush in a classy rose gold ferrule atop a pretty pink handle.
The Browgal – Brow Brush ($14)
This is a double-ended brush for your eyebrows with a spoolie side and an angled brush side. You can use the spoolie side as a brow brush, to remove mistakes or apply products. The angled brush side is to get the look you want.
The Browgal – Convertible Brow ($35)
This is a wet/dry convertible powder & pomade duo – use dry for powder and wet for pomade. The colors in this set are universal and for all hair colors, made especially for Beautycon. Use them to fill in and to apply color and definition to your brows. The company makes other Convertible Brow colors that are specific to brown hair, dark hair, light hair, etc.
Nuxe – Shimmering Dry Oil Huile Prodigieuse OR .33 oz ($3.75)
This is a multi-use shimmering dry oil that contains tiny shimmering mineral particles to add a satiny glow to the skin. Use it on your face, body, or hair to nourish, soften, and illuminate.
OGX – Orchid Oil Color Protect Spray 4 oz ($9)
This is a high potency blend of orchid extract and grape seed oil to slow color fading and lock in color on treated hair. Plus it moisturizes and replenishes individual hair strands. All you have to do is to spray it on after you towel dry your hair, then blow dry to get the solution on the hair shafts.
IBY Beauty – Mineral Pressed Blush in Peach Sheen .12 oz ($16)
This is a pretty, soft, & sheer powder blush that is infused with ultra-fine minerals. I like that it is talc-free and paraben-free, too! This color is perfect for me!
Dirty Little Secret – Velvet Matte Liquid Lipstick in Rust ($14)
This is a matte, long lasting lipstick in a reddish brick color.
NYX Professional Makeup – Bright Idea Illuminating Stick in Rose Petal Pop .21 oz ($8)
This is a creamy soft shade of deep pink colored blush with gold glitter that goes on smoothly and gives an instant glow.
Cargo Cosmetics – Around the World Eye Shadow Palette with brush ($34)
This is a 12 shade eye shadow palette to help you create your perfect look! The shadow colors are arranged into quads and duos to coordinate looks – and these are pictured on the back of the box to make coordinating the shades easy to do. And that is just what I need since I am hopelessly inept when it comes to combining colors! The palette has 6 matte and 6 shimmer shades and comes with a dual-ended eye shadow brush.
The retail value of the beauty products in the Spring 2017 BeautyCon box came to $161.74. It was a great box of skin care and cosmetic items and almost all were full size. Once again I am extremely pleased with the value/price paid ratio! If I were to have only one beauty subscription box sent to me, this would be the one!
I love that liquid lipstick and the eye shadow pallet!! Love that they had brushes in there too!!
That’s a great bunch of products. Mostly none that I’d use.
This subscription would make a nice gift. I know I would like to receive it. My makeup should be replaced. Too old.
It looks like you got a great deal for your money, especially if you can use the products. I get the GlobeIn box, which I love.
