September 2017 Glossybox Review
September 2017 Glossybox
Glossybox is an online monthly beauty subscription box that sends you 5 or more travel size (and sometimes full size) beauty products each month from well known luxury brands and up-and-coming niche brands. You get to try out the best brands and new makeup products for a fraction of the full size cost. They also send the best hair products and skin care products for women.
You can subscribe to Glossybox for $21 each month with free shipping within the USA and receive five great beauty products to enjoy. They also have a 6 month plan (same price as the monthly plan) and a 12 month plan. The 12 month plan brings the cost down to $18.50 per month.
The Homespun Chics paid for this subscription box. All opinions are 100% our own. This post contains affiliate links.
Glossybox has a large glossy product information sheet that includes pictures, suggestions for use, and pricing. They don’t curate to a titled monthly theme like some of the other subscription boxes. You don’t know what you will receive until the box arrives unless you see some spoilers on their website but the value is always there.
Pureology – Clean Volume Shampoo and Conditioner 1.7 oz each sample size ($11.20)
This is some expensive shampoo and conditioner at $28/$30 apiece for 8.5 oz! Pureology is a line of hair care products that are sulfate and silicon-free and designed to give volume to fine, color-treated hair while delivering hair color protection. This is exactly what my hair needs, too!
Manna Kadar – Glo Illuminator .67 oz Full Size ($23.50)
This is an incandescent liquid that lights up skin with all over radiance. You can wear it alone to highlight or mix it in with your foundation. It is for all skin types and will give a bit of color to dull, winter skin.
Lancome Paris – Visionnaire Advanced Multi-Correcting Cream SPF 20 .17 oz sample size ($8.70)
This is an anti-aging moisturizer with SPF sunscreen that improves the appearance of wrinkles while it plumps and smooths your skin.
Lancome Paris – Advanced Genifique Sensitive Antioxidant Serum sample size (?$15)
This is a Fresh Activated Ferulic Acid and vitamin E night serum designed to soothe dry skin and repair free radicals while you sleep. It is a one-use sample size but the full size is .7 oz and runs $78.
Vendome Paris Beaute – Pearl Eye Shadow 1 pod ($26)
This is a lovely, highly pigmented neutral eye shadow in Suede, a light shimmery taupe. I know I’ll get a lot of use out of this over the winter! It is an ultra-fine powder infused with rose water to give it a soft, silky texture.
Morgan Taylor Professional – Nail Lacquer in Pretty Wild .5 oz Full Size ($9)
This is a creme plum nail color that is perfect for the winter season!
The September 2017 Glossybox was filled with “the building blocks to classic beauty” and had a retail value of $93.40. Most of the items were of very high quality and even the sample sizes were expensive. I love it when Glossybox goes back to basics and I know I can use everything in this September box! Some Glossybox subscribers received variations on the colors of the eyeshadow and the nail polish and/or variations in the contents of their box.
I really want to try this o like that the portions are small I hate when I buy stuff and decide I don’t like and never use again. This way it’s trying new every month
