The September Peaches and Petals arrived in a small white box with promises of a cuteness overload inside. I am pleased to see the box size is now adjusted based on the contents inside, rather than using a larger box every time. Yay for positive changes!

Mermaid Socks
These socks are TOO fun! I spent quite a bit of my childhood slightly obsessed with The Little Mermaid and would have died to have these socks back then! I already know my calves are too strong (i.e. large) for these knee-highs *sad face* but I know the perfect little girl who would love wearing these and I cannot wait to give them to her!!
Unicorn Pillow Cover
Sassy unicorn pillow! I have to be honest here… I was extremely skeptical of the pillow case when I pulled it out of the box but once I squeezed it over one of my (over-stuffed) throw pillows, I found out I actually LOVE it! What can I say — sassy pillows make me happy! This pillow case has a burlap feel and I love the fun script lettering. Though I have no useable space to add another throw pillow, I am totally stashing this for later use when I have a little larger of an office space to showcase all of my subscription box spoils!
Grouchy Cat Coin Purse
Yeah, I dubbed this guy “Grouchy Cat” since clearly he is a cat who means business… and hints at the infamous internet sensation, Grumpy Cat. This little guy is totally giving me the look of a cat who has either been forcibly bathed or has run out of dry cat food. Either way, he is out for vengeance.
Fortunately, this little guy’s head is filled with flowers, not to mention it can hold a large amount of loose change. The coin purse is about the size of a softball (I think?) and is fuzzy on the back. I feel like this coin purse is a bit young for me but who am I kidding… it’s a cat. Of course I”m obsessed. And since my cats have been destroying every single pair of Apple headphones we own, I will be using this angry cat head as a headphone holder in my purse! (I am SO clever!)
Totes Adorbs Tote Bag
This black tote bag is thinner than most I’ve received over the years, but it truly is as the pun states… TOTES adorbs! I am sure it would work fine for lighter groceries like bread and pantry boxed items, but probably wouldn’t go over well lugging around heavy books or my computer. Since I literally have a pile of tote bags in my office, I will be gifting this or incorporating it into a future giveaway for one of you lovelies! 🙂
Cute Surprise: Folding Mailable Notes
Oooh! I love stationery items!!! This is probably one of the more practical “surprise” items I’ve received in a P&P box. This is a pack of foldable note cards that are kind of like a postcard.
The package opens up (sealed with velcro) and includes a pocket with matching stickers and 12 individual note cards. The cards are connected by glue at the top seam, similar to a standard notepad.
The concept is simple (and brilliant). Write your letter on the full-page spread, fold, seal it closed with the included sticker, address the outside, add stamp, and MAIL! Voila! I love the borders on the cards and think these will give me a great excuse to snail-mail my best friend in Durham. We don’t talk enough on the phone and plus it always feels so special to receive a handwritten note in the age of technology. Am I right??
Final Thoughts
The September 2016 Peaches and Petals really lived up to its theme. I opened my compact white box to receive a real-life cuteness overload! My first reaction was that I felt way too old to enjoy this box to its fullest potential. After taking everything out of the box and evaluating it, I realized that though I am 30 now, the ultimate-no-excuse-grown-up age, I can still enjoy cuteness and squeal with girlish delight as I rock the grouchy cat coin purse and mail precious flower-dy notes to my bestest childhood friend. I may even include things like “You da bomb” and “LYLAS” in my letter… because that’s how I roll!
Though I am not able to use everything in the September box, I still feel like Peaches and Petals delivered and I am able to spread the happiness of mermaids and tote bags to others!
What do you think of my Cuteness Overload?
I really like the socks and pillow case. Very cute.
Omgosh look at all this cuteness!! I LOVE it!!!
That is a really fun box of stuff.
I love those notes! I always like the simple things 🙂
Peaches & Petals subscription box is great because the genre’s change each month adding to the excitement of unboxing!!! Great gift item at a great price!
This Peaches & Petals Box is cute! You are right though, I think this is more for a teenager or a tween. I do like the cat coin purse. I also like the different themes each month.
