Peaches and Petals – April 2016
Theme: April Showers
Aaah, April! My favorite month of the year that is filled with green mountains, spring flowers, and my birthday (of course!). The one thing I have seriously been missing is… the rain!! Where the heck are my “April Showers”?? Luckily, Peaches & Petals has come to the rescue with this month’s theme. I’m so super excited!

The tissue paper this month is a pretty light blue (for rain, get it??) and as always, the full-color information card is right on top!
The information card is a high-gloss postcard which briefly details the items inside. The last item listed is a “Rainy Day Surprise!” I’m curious to see what everyone gets inside their P&P boxes!
OOOOHHHH!! Looky here!! As if Peaches and Petals doesn’t give you enough reason to love them already, they are offering amazing, high-value subscriber giveaways for posting images of your box each month! This month’s prize is a KitchenAid stand mixer! (What the what!?)
First peek and I can tell you right now… something was extremely perfume-y in this box. I was a little taken aback, but I’m loving the bright colors!
Smart Essentials 5-in-1 Multifunction Beauty Care Massager | $12.00
This facial cleansing brush was the spoiler item for April! I am pretty particular with how I treat my face so I’m not sure I will use this, sadly. I will be gifting this to mom who I’m sure will have fun trying it out!
This tool has five different attachments to cleanse, massage, exfoliate, and even remove callouses! I hope mom likes it!!
Bonnie Marcus Rainy Day Puzzle Book | $7.94
I do love puzzles! This book contains beautiful illustrations by Bonnie Marcus and includes over 150 fun and challenging puzzles.
The illustrations are whimsical and bright.
There are tons of puzzle variations using logic, numbers and word challenges. Crazy fun and I can’t wait to dig in!
Adorable Umbrella Necklace | $4.99
This is a cute little necklace! It has an adjustable chain so you can wear it at the length you prefer. This is great for me, since I don’t typically like short chains.
I really like the dangly raindrop and umbrella. I will be wearing this the next time it rains here (if it will ever rain!)
Rain Cloud Wall Planter | $11.43
Aww! This is such a tiny planter!! I know exactly who will get this for his 5th birthday too…
Little G’s cousin, Rowyn, would absolutely flip out over this wall planter and do you know why? BECAUSE, silly, it kinda looks like the Mario pipe where the piranha plant comes out! I will be putting a little venus fly trap in the planter and giving this to him in August, thereby dubbing me the greatest aunt alive. Maybe I’ll even turn the cloud into one of Lakitu’s clouds! 🙂
Spongeables Body Wash in a Sponge (Pink Grapefruit) | $8.50
This sponge is the scented culprit in my April P&P box. I love fresh scents and enjoy trying different smelling body wash however this scent is way too strong for my taste. I was starting to get a headache from the fragrance, so unfortunately I need to pass on this item.
I do love the concept and think it would be the perfect companion for traveling or to put in a guest bathroom. I’m going to see if my best friend would like it when she visits next weekend!
Swissco Detangling Shower Brush | $8.00
I am obsessed with these poofy hair brushes! Makes me (almost) wish my hair was long again. I kinda lobbed all my hair off this spring, so this brush really wouldn’t get the most use from me right now. Still, I love these brushes, so I will be stashing this away for safe keeping until I decide I want long hair again.
I consider this a “bonus” item, but I also received a $35 Off coupon to Hello Fresh, which seems to be a recurring trend in sub boxes lately… Jonathan and I are still on the fence about trying them out, but this coupon is mighty tempting!
My Thoughts
April 2016 Peaches and Petals Total Value: $52.86
I really, really love this box and not because I personally love absolutely everything included… but instead because each item made me think of someone I know who would love it. Obviously I’m thinking of hoarding the cloud necklace, rainy day puzzle and shower brush (for the long hair I will have again sometime). Everything else is going to be gifted and I am SUPER excited to make the wall planter into a fun Mario birthday present for my nephew. He’s going to freak OUT and I am going to just revel in the glory and the awesomeness that is myself because I’ll be the coolest aunt in the universe for about 2.5 minutes and it’s totally worth this run-on sentence to share my excitement.
Okay, don’t forget to sign up for the May box (theme spoiler below)! If you don’t have a subscription yet, try using one of these coupon codes: PEACHMAY50, PEACHMAY25, or PEACHMAY10 to get a great discount on your first box! 🙂

May Theme Spoiler:
Great bunch of stuff. I love being able to give people gifts that I’ve won. That brush feels good on my scalp and I have short hair.
Some great stuff in this box.. Sounds like an awesome subscription.
Super neat!! I love the little whimsical pieces like the necklace and the planter!! PLus that puzzle book is amazing!!
That rain cloud planter would be lots of fun.
I would be most excited about the Smart Essentials Beauty Care Massager. I’ve always wanted to try one of those facial exfoliators!
What a cute necklace! It’s perfect for those April showers as is that Rainy Day puzzle book. Great box and well packaged.
This is so nice! and I have someone in Hawaii who is adventurous, this box is for her!!
Wow! What a great box. You really get so many great things in this. The value far outweighs the cost.
Wow! P & P have come a long way since their first couple of boxes. I purchased box 1 and canceled due to concerns about expiration dates and values. I also won a giveaway from your blog for the second(or third?) box(btw Thank you again 🙂 ). I may be resubscribing, this box was really nice.
