Did you know that February is Pet Dental Health month? This is a great time to take a look at Oratene dog dental health products, designed to help keep your pet’s teeth cleaner and help with bad breath and dry mouth.
Our dogs are truly members of our family. We love them and want to keep them as healthy as possible. My 13 year old border collie has had his teeth cleaned at the vet at least 4 times over the years (costing over $300 each time!) and will have them done again later this year for the last time. As a dog becomes elderly and their kidney function declines, the danger of the anesthesia required for dental care overrides the benefits of dental cleaning. And as a dog ages, especially if they are on medications, they can develop Dry Mouth. Bad breath is often the first sign of this problem.
Dry Mouth is a change in the quality of saliva frequently resulting from common medications such as those for behavior, pain, incontinence, or allergies. A pet with chronic Dry Mouth will develop severe halitosis and accumulate plaque which can lead to tartar, tooth decay, and gum disease. My dog takes glucosamine daily for stiffness and pain in his hips. His teeth have a lot of tartar and his breath is vile. Oratene sent me a bottle of their Dental Care Water Additive and I have been adding this to the dogs’ water bowl each day for the past month. Oratene also makes a brush-free toothpaste gel and a breath freshener product. These pet dental care products are available at all Petco® stores as well as many independent retailers and also through veterinarians.
Each of the three Oratene Brushless Oral Care product contains carefully balanced enzymes. The LP3 enzyme system kills germs and the MD2 enzyme system removes plaque biofilm and make plaque water-soluble so it cannot adhere to the teeth. These enzymes boost and replenish saliva’s own defenses and recreate the natural oral protection found in the mouth. They eliminate dryness, irritation, inflammation, and redness, if these problems are present in the pet’s mouth. The products are safe for cats as well as dogs, nontoxic and safe for daily use, and contain no chlorhexidine, xylitol, alcohol, or Chlorine compounds.
Oratene Water Additive is so quick and convenient to use! All you have to do is to shake the bottle and add 2 squirts to 1 quart (4 cups) of fresh drinking water each day. The solution is flavorless so my dogs don’t notice any change in their water and drink it up as usual. Easy-peasy! This delivery system is much less stressful for both my dogs and myself. Trying brush their teeth with a doggie toothbrush was a daily struggle that I finally gave up on years ago.
I am so pleased that we finally have a safe, easy to use product to help keep our dogs’ teeth clean and their mouths healthy! Celebrate Pet Dental Health Month by visiting Petco® or your local independent retailer to find the perfect Oratene® dental health product for your pet.

I’ve read some good stuff here. Certainly
worth bookmarking for revisiting. I surprise how so much attempt you set to make
this type of excellent informative website.
I’d like to have the Oratene® Water Additive. Sounds so simple to use, and my dogs hate having their teeth brushed.
I’d like the brushless oral care. My dog doesn’t like me touching her teeth.
The Oratene water Additive sounds awesome! I foster Pugs, and they struggle mightily with tooth brushing!
The form loaded for me the first couple of times, but I haven’t been able to get it to load for the last day or two. (I am able to access the same form on other pages, so it’s not the giveaway tools site).
My three rescued Treeing Walker Coonhounds really don’t like getting their teeth brushed. They are all in the 6-8 year-old range and are at the point where they are all going to need dentals. Once I get their teeth cleaned, I would love a product like this to help KEEP them clean. This would help with my cats, too!
I would try either the water additive or the toothpaste. I’ve used these types of different brands, but always open to new ones.
I would purchase the water additive because it is so simple!
I would choose the water additive.
I would love the Water Additive for my cat. I had a cat that died after complications from dental work so I will NOT let my other cat have any dental work done! This sounds great! Thank you so much for sharing. kristiedonelson(at)gmail(dot)com Thank you. Happy February!
We brush our dogs’ teeth each week so I would love to have some more toothpaste.
