October 2018 Degusta Box Review
October 2018 Degusta Box
Degusta Box is a food subscription box that sends you 9 to 14 full-size surprise products each month at a price less than you would pay at the store for the items. The monthly cost is $19.99 with free shipping, charged on the 19th of each month.
There is no commitment and you can cancel the next month if you notify Degusta Box before the 15th of the month.
Did you catch the name change on this subscription box? They have changed the name from Degustabox to Degusta Box. The website remains the same.
The Homespun Chics received this subscription box for review. All opinions are 100% our own. This post contains affiliate links.
The October 2018 Degusta Box information sheet is a full page glossy with photos, descriptions of each product in the box, and includes an accurate price for each item.
The back side has a great chocolate peanut butter brownie recipe! They had a contest this month for a free box but we did miss it. 🙁 Keep checking on their Facebook page for the next one!
We received coupons for two of the best snack products included in this month’s box!
Idahoan – Steakhouse Creamy Potato Soup Mix 7.1 oz ($2.99)
This is delicious! A potato soup mix made from 100% Idahoan red & russet potatoes that cooks up in just 5 minutes and serves 4. All you do is add water. Very easy to enhance if you want to dress it up with potato chunks, onion, bacon, more seasonings – whatever you are in the mood to eat. Or just eat it as is!
Bush’s – Sriracha Lime Crisp-Roasted Chickpeas 5 oz ($3.99)
These are a tasty way to enjoy crunchy high fiber chickpeas! You can take them along, eat them in front of the TV, pair them with salads, soups, and other recipes. These have no artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives and come in some very tasty flavors – Roasted Garlic, Sriracha Lime and Cracked Pepper.
Pirate’s Booty – (4) Aged White Cheddar Rice and Corn Puffs .5 oz each ($1.82)
I love these cute Halloween decorated lunch packs! They are “blended with real aged white cheddar cheese and baked perfectly to pirate standards” with no artificial flavors, colors, or preservatives.
Welch’s – Fruit Snacks Superfruit Mix 8 oz ($2.99)
These fruit snacks are made with real fruit and have fruit as the first ingredient. Each pack has an assortment superfruit flavor blends of Pomegranate-Passionfruit, Starfruit-Kiwi, Dragonfruit-Blackberry, Açai-Blueberry and Goji–Apricot. There are 10 pouches to each box. I know my husband and grandson are going to have to share!
Bahlsen – Waffeletten Milk Crispy Rolled Wafers 3.5 oz ($3.49)
These tasty little German-made cookies come in dark and milk chocolate flavors. The company has been making cookies since 1889 and their crunchy wafer cookies are rolled into fine crisp layers and then dipped halfway into European chocolate. Yum!
SunSpire – Peanut Butter Baking Chips 10 oz ($7.99)
These are natural peanut butter chips to enhance your baking or to add to shakes, oatmeal, or whatever you want to flavor up. They have a creamy texture and are made with real peanut butter.
Tastykake – Peanut Butter KandyKakes 2 oz ($1.79)
These is a package of 3 little flat cakes with chocolate flavored coating and peanut butter filling.
Tastykake – Chocolate Junior Cake 3 oz ($1.79)
These are a yellow layer cake with chocolate icing. And they are very good for packaged cakes. Tastykake baked goods have been around for as long as I can remember.
Sixlets – Original Chocolate Candies 1.75 oz & Chewy Fruity Flavored Candies 2 oz ($2.00)
These are long time candy favorites, especially at Halloween time. The chocolate ones are the ones I love best and I always get my grandson to give me the ones from his trick or treat basket!
Garoto- Caribe Filled Bonbon with Banana 1 oz ($.80)
This is a candy bar of milk chocolate with banana filling made in Brazil.
Brown & Haley – Sea Salt Caramel Roca 4 oz ($2.99)
This is a limited edition flavor of this wonderful caramel buttercrunch toffee with almonds. It is made with caramelized butter and sugar, plus a signature blend of cocoa beans, California almonds and a dash of sea salt.
The retail value of the products curated for the October 2018 Degusta Box came to $32.64. This month was a very snacky box and that is great with us! The soup was delicious and we are working our way through the rest of the goodies! I love trying out new foods and new flavors of old favorites so Degusta Box is one of my favorite subscription boxes. The price is a bargain – the retail value of the groceries always far exceeds the cost of the box, so if there are a couple of things not to your taste you are still ahead with the price.
This box looks awesome!
Hi, Katie! We think so too! All of the Degusta Boxes have been really amazing and we are just floored at the amount of yums we get to enjoy each month! Thank you for reading! 🙂
