October 2016 Peaches and Petals
Theme: Pumpkin Spice and Everything Nice!
Is it just me, or is pumpkin spice taking over the universe?? As much as I love a quality pumpkin pie, the pumpkin spice trend is a little beyond me. Regardless, the October theme is precious and I couldn’t wait to see what kind of fall happiness awaited beyond the little brown box! I am quite pleased that Peaches and Petals opted for more compact boxes for their subscription. I always love opening up a box that is packed full with goodies rather than a huge box that seems practically empty (as seen in the earlier boxes). Big thumbs up!
The Cost: $19.99 for a Monthly Box Subscription

First peek!
The info card is a high-gloss postcard that briefly describes all of the items inside. This month’s card is SO cute!! I love the fall colors and clip art!
The October subscriber giveaway is a $100 Wayfair gift card! Holy moly! ? To enter, subscribers need to post a picture of their unboxing on social media using the hashtag #peachesandpetals and then email the address on the card for verification!
Cozy Scarf
The first item out of the box is a ridiculously soft plaid scarf! Nothing quite says fall like a warm scarf around the neck. This scarf is light and can be coiled around the neck…
…or warn like a shawl! Yup, this is a triangular scarf! It has a little fringe all around the edges. I just love the colors and cannot wait to wear this to work!
“Mornin Pumpkin!” Travel Mug
Ooooh! Coffee mug! Yay! The gold text really pops on this matte black travel mug. I love the design. The cup appears to fit between 16-20 oz of liquid and is made entirely of plastic, which means it is not insulated (bummer). This isn’t a problem for me since I tend to guzzle down my coffee quickly in the morning, but it would be sad for the slow sippers of the world.
Bay Point Candles “Pumpkin Pie” Scented Candle (4 oz)
Look at this adorable candle!! It arrived in a very giftable red and tan striped box too! The candle has a very strong pumpkin spice scent, which was quite surprising considering its size! I could smell it before I even opened the box! I love that the candle is in a little square mason jar that we can repurpose once we finish burning the candle. Perhaps we’ll try our hand at homemade potpourri this year! It’ll be perfect as a gift in its box!
Fannie May Pixies Chocolate
The description reads, “crunchy pecans in smooth caramel, drenched in rich milk chocolate.” How on earth could this not be utterly divine?? Basically, it’s a turtle. A delicious, ooey-gooey turtle made with pecans.
Okay, for real. This is the creamiest caramel treat I have ever experienced. The caramel is perfectly gooey with just the right amount of crunch from the pecans. Mmmm, scrumptious! Honestly, I was a little sad to see there was only one candy inside when I first opened the package, but after eating half the turtle I was grateful for the small-ish indulgence. This is quite the rich chocolatey treat where a little goes a long way!
Karmin Creations Mandalas Color-A-Puzzle
THIS puzzle is my absolute favorite item from the October Peaches and Petals box! Usually I save puzzles for Little G to enjoy, but this was pretty difficult for me to piece together. It is completely black and white.. And more importantly (selfishly), I wanted to enjoy it all to myself!
It took me a long time to put the puzzle together, mainly because Little G was having fun disassembling as I went along. The mandalas were gorgeous — I absolutely had to color them in!
Here’s the finished product! Don’t knock my skillz, people. This took a bit longer than most coloring projects since I felt compelled to color all around the edges of the pieces so that they’d be entirely filled in. I bet you can skip that part and finish the puzzle much quicker.
The box recommends piecing the puzzle together, coloring it in and then framing it, but what’s the fun in that?? I totally broke it apart and put it back in the box for future puzzle enjoyment with my boy. Yay for family time!
Final Thoughts
The October 2016 Peaches and Petals box was a real win for me! I was quite surprised at just how much I loved a box with a pumpkin spice theme. This month really nailed the fall theme and I can use and/or gift everything in the box. My favorite item, obviously, was the puzzle and the close second was the super yummy chocolate!
What did you think of the October box??
