The theme of the October 2016 Craftly box is
Play Pretend
Craftly always has a helpful product information card that includes photos and pricing. So let’s take a look at what they have curated for this month!
Breaking Games – Game of Phones ($20)
This is a card game to play with big or small groups where you and your friends judge each other on your internet skills and photoroll. Your phone becomes your gaming partner!
“A unique card game that brings smartphones to the party with challenges like:
- Finding the best selfies
- Taking photos of other players
- Showing your worst or funniest texts
With over 100 cards and the whole internet in your hands, Game of Phones is endless fun whether you lover or hate your smartphone.”
Unplugged Goods – Unlace Twistable Laces 5 inch ($7.95)
This is a set of 4 twistable silicon laces for taming tablet/smartphone cords, camera cables or other thin cords like earbuds. They are silicon molded over flexible wire. Quite a useful tool! They also come in 10″ size and a variety of other colors.
Mokuyobi – Banana Time Iron On Patch ($6)
“It’s Always Banana Time” with a banana in the middle of the oval cotton iron on patch. Last month we got a lemonade pin, this month an iron on banana patch. These little quirky fashion embellishments must be in vogue again! My middle school age grandson will love this! And Mokuyobi makes all kinds of different patches if this one doesn’t suit you.
Wintercroft – DIY Low-Poly Mask ($5.84)
This is a gift code on the back of a card so you can download a mask template of your choice that you can build yourself. The coupon code expires 11/1/17, so you have plenty of time to pick one out and give it a try.
The RV of the items curated for the October 2016 Craftly Box came to $39.79, with the bulk of the value going to the Game of Phones card game. This was not my favorite box from Craftly, but I do like the twistable laces a lot. We never play games and I don’t know anyone who does, though back when my son was in college the card game would have seen a lot of use. And I won’t use the mask or patch, either, but I will send those things to my grandson with his Christmas gifts. But that is how it is with monthly subscription boxes – you can’t hit a home run with everyone every month!
