Special Edition Pet Treater Cat Box
Pet Treater released this very special edition cat box as a one-time purchase, which was like dangling a carrot in front of my face. How could I not bite?? My kitties stare enviously at Beijing as she gets a HUGE box of doggie goodness from Pet Treater every month and what do they get? An empty box. Don’t get me wrong, they LOVE the box but there isn’t even a hint of catnip in there! How dare I, the cat lady queen, neglect these poor kitties in such a way!
The Cost: $24.99 (This is a one time, non-recurring purchase)
with additional savings if you purchase 2 or more cat boxes!
COUPON: PTCAT-BONUS

First peek in the box and it looks a whole lot like my basket at PetSmart when Jonathan accidentally lets me go to the store by myself. I love it! SO many goodies! The note hints at there being future special edition cat boxes coming too! Wee!!!
Sport Pet Designs Jungle Ball – Value: $2.00?
My cats really love playing with this toy! Feathers always drive my kitties crazy and the ball is hollow with a bell inside!
Hilarious to watch in the daytime… not so fun at 2:00AM. I need to set a reminder on my phone to hide the toy when we go to bed.
Smart n’ Tasty Feline Dental Treats 3 oz (Ocean Fish) – Value: $5.83
Proudly made in the USA with no artificial ingredients, colors or flavors. “Best by” date is 06/16/2017.
These treats are slightly large and extremely crunchy. My old man, Kitters, could not partake in the festivities since he has bad teeth (was an outdoor cat in his other life) and needs soft treats, but my other five cats loved them! Have you ever heard cats crunch really loud? It’s one of the cutest things ever.
Petstages Catnip Roll-On (Energize and Refresh) – Value: $4.19
I have never seen a liquid catnip roller before, which is very surprising to me. I should know about all things CAT! What a great concept to help freshen up cat toys! I used to have catnip growing in an outdoor planter and was able to bring old cat toys back to life easily. (Catnip is in the mint family, so don’t plant it in the ground unless you want a meadow of catnip… and 1000 neighborhood cats rolling around in your yard).
I didn’t grow any catnip this year so the Petstage Catnip Roll-On is an excellent alternative for driving the kitties bonkers! Rambo thinks it tastes delicious right out of the container.
Simple Solutions Cat Calming Bath Wipes (8 count) – Value: $1.87
Alright, I’m going to just say it… unless you have a cat who loves water, there is no such thing as a cat bath with dignity. There. I feel better. These wipes have a strong floral odor which is supposed to smell like chamomile. I’m on the fence on that one. I tried these out on my pudgy bengal because she cannot outrun me. I am surprised to say it actually helped clean her back (where she cannot reach when she bathes herself). She was a little off-put by the smell though.
I also tried a wipe on Cooper, our seal point ragdoll boy… he was not amused and I am pretty sure that these wipes were not meant for long haired cats. I started cleaning his head and found I had more fur on the wipe than was practical to continue “bathing” him. Oh well!
More Stuff On My Cat by Mario Garza – Value: $1.51 (Amazon bargain book price)
I think I am going to send this book to my brother in his birthday care package. My mom, Joe, and I all have a true obsession with cats and take Caturday extremely seriously with massive text messages. This is basically an entire book of ways to torture your cat in the most humane way possible. The book I received seemed a little old, with the binding coming undone. This does not affect how much my brother is going to love it, so we’re good here.
I mean, look at these poor felines!
I feel equal parts pity and amusement. And so will my brother! 🙂
Hometec Paw Print Litter Mat (Dark Blue) – Value: $9.99
Yes! A litter mat!! I love that Pet Treater included useful items for cat parents. I am all for bringing in treats and toys for my kitties, but extra litter mats are always needed at our house. With six cats, can you blame me?
I would have taken a picture of the mat laid down, but it’s remarkably hard to get a picture of the litter boxes without intruding on one or more cats trying to do some business.
Plus there’s always a guard kitten keeping watch on the stairs, making sure some semblance of privacy is maintained.
Red Barn Cat Treats 2.64 oz (Chicken) – Value – $4.35
Treats are made in the USA with chicken as the first ingredient listed! “Best by” date is 11/04/2016.
I love that Pet Treater is continuing with their commitment to providing safe, USA-made treats to their cat customers. I believe my cats all favored these chicken treats more than the dental treats. The bite-size nibbles are shaped like little chickens (if you squint, you can kinda see it) and are semi-moist. Winner winner, chicken dinner!
Krislin U-Fill Catnip Toy (Frog) – Value: $4.81
Catnip-filled toys are always huge winners in our house. This is a standard fill-toy with a velcro closure that opens to a pocket that you fill with the included catnip.
The kitties fought over this little frog for hours. I actually just found it wedged behind my dresser, which is typically where Katie Kitten hides toys from her siblings. 🙂
Sport Pet Designs Scratch ‘N’ Climb Activity Center – Value: $8.99
I was pleasantly surprised at receiving an activity center in my box! This is a compact structure that fits perfectly under our kitchen table (i.e. kitty playground).
Luckily there were extremely straightforward directions, easily identifiable parts and different colored plastic joints. It did not take me long at all to assemble it!
Here’s the finished product! I did it!
I decided it needed a slight upgrade and cut the top off the Pet Treater box and placed the box inside the activity center. This is now 100% cat-approved!
My Thoughts
Pet Treater Special Edition Cat Box Total Value: $43.54
I am quite satisfied with my Special Edition Cat Box from Pet Treater!! One box contained enough goodies for all six of my cats and even included a few things to help me out in caring for them! I really loved the curation and felt that everything was super practical and fun. I give huge props to Pet Treater for ensuring all cat treats are made in the USA and appreciate receiving the “human treater” item that we expect to find in our standard dog boxes!

That is so cute. I love the idea of getting a monthly box full of goodies for your pet. It shows you really care for them. I would love to get one for my cat Salem.
You really should! Pet Treater stands out from the crowd by giving a huge bang for your buck. I love doting on my kitties but… with six cats, I kind of need to find the value when I shop! There are still a few cat boxes available right now at Pet Treater… just sayin’! 😉
First and foremost: Your cats are gorgeous. Sublimely, felinely gorgeous.
As excited as my (two) cats would be, yup– I’m already WAY more excited about this right now than they would be after the novelty factor had worn off for them. Oh, sure, they’d bat the little toys around every so often– esp. the feathered thing. (They love feathers, esp. when on toy mice.) But my cats go bananas whenever I bring home a bag from an everyday shopping trip or errand, or open something that came in the mail. This box, awesome though it might be, would be a box full of things for me (Cat Person)– for my convenience and amusement, mostly. The box itself? That would become Property Of The Cats.
🙂
Thanks for the review!
Hi Ann! Thank you for the kitty compliments! I’d tell you that they thanked you but… they’re cats and they pretty much know they’re divine. 😉 And I completely understand your excitement vs. your cats. The Pet Treater Cat Box was a big win for our household though! Kitties were impressed with everything! Okay, maybe not the wipes…..
Wow this really is a great box of goodies stuff for a cat. Roll on catnip and wipes – new products I have never seen before. Tho our inside call died recently, we still have our outside cat to pamper.
Ann, I’m so sorry to hear about your inside kitty. 🙁 *BIG HUGS* I’m with you though; outside cats deserve pampering too! My newest addition to our cat house, Kitters, is a born-again-inside-cat who loves playing with toys more than my youngest cat!! And yeah, the roll-on catnip was definitely new to me… and I’ve caught Rambo making out with it more times than I’d like to admit…
Omgosh what a packed full box!! So much fun stuff for kitties!! Roll on catnip!?!? Whoulda thought!?!?
My cats would go crazy over that Scratch ‘N’ Climb Activity Center. Looks like a lot of fun!
I would love for the Cat Box to be a monthly subscription option.
I would love to see this become a monthly subscription. It would be fun to unbox with my cats there. 🙂
