Both boys were so excited to receive such a bounty of books! The Ocean board book is the perfect size for Jamie. At almost 2 years old, he loves flipping through all the colorful pages as we scramble to read the text with him. The big bubbly writing catches his attention and sometimes we manage to do some sight word practice! These books could not have come at a better time for Gabe, too. He’s 7 1/2 years old now and all conversations are comprised of, “but why…” and “did you know…” So, instead of following me around begging me to look things up on my phone for him, Gabe has been digging in to all of the Nat Geo Kids books that arrived! He carries the very portable Almanac 2021 with him everywhere he goes. The big book of Why? and the Little Kids First Big Book of Why are also extremely popular choices in the house. Both of these huge books live on our ottoman in the living room where Gabe casually browses the pages until he finds a fun factoid he wants to share. We are impressed with the creativity and fun that are packed within the pages! All of the books are age-appropriate and entertaining for my two kiddos. There are more than enough interesting tidbits to keep them wondering and learning for years to come!!
