This month’s box arrived and surprised me by its cute, compact size! It is significantly smaller than the usual green box, but as expected, was packed full of awesome doggy goodies for Beijing. We have had a very busy month and poor Beeba had to wait an awfully long time for me to open her box! Thankfully Beijing let me know that it was well worth the wait! 🙂

May 2016 Theme:  Doggy De Mayo!

This month’s letter is from the Pet Treater amigo, Brody! He provided Beeba with four excellent tips for the perfect siesta. Brody also reminded us that with every purchase of a Pet Treater box, we have helped donate a bed, blanket, or toy to a local shelter dog or cat. In my opinino, this is one of the best parts of the Pet Treater box!  🙂

Let’s Fiesta Then Siesta Bandana | $5.00?

This bandana is hilarious (and perfectly fitting for Beijing)! She is currently snoring on the couch after a good romp about the room with her new toy!

Look at this cutie all decked out! I promise she loved it; she is just giving me puppy eyes because I was bribing her with a treat behind the camera…

LM Farms Curry Brush | $5.99

This is a really nice rubber-toothed wooden comb that works extraordinarily well to dry-brush Beijing’s coat.

The brush feels high-quality and is quite beautiful!

Pawsitively Gourmet Taco Doggie Pastry | $2.00?

Look at this gourmet dog treat! It is adorably hand decorated and equally as delicious (according to Beijing).

Little G decided he wanted to try and break it in half before giving it to Beeba but was unsuccessful. Before I grabbed a good photo, he threw it down and Beeba quickly chomped it down! I think that means it was a success!

Exclusively Dog Jerkeez Taco Flavor Treats (7 oz) | $3.74

We have a good bit of treat bags already open for Beeba and these Jerkeez have a Best By date of 12/10/2016, so I’m holding off on opening them just yet. I love that Pet Treater only includes treats made in the USA and Canada. These are especially great because each treat is slightly perforated so we can tear off the desired size piece we want each time!

Aspen Pet Fresh ‘n Floss Large Taco | $8.99

This is another perfect toy for mom’s border collies (though I’m sure they will destroy it within a few minutes). Beijing turns her nose up at rope toys so hopefully mom’s boys will get a good flossing before the rope is completely gone!

Ganz Silicone Personality Pot Holder, Frog | $6.50

This is a cute little silicone potholder that’s shaped like a frog’s face! It was really hard to get a good picture of the thing, but fortunately Little G helped to showcase our “human treater” gift:

Noooo, silly bean. Not like thaaaat!!

There you go!! Our little silicone frog friend kind of looks like a mix between Kermit the Frog and a Fraggle! C’mon, 80’s & 90’s kids, you totally get me here, right???

Your Pet Chef No Guilt Treats, Fido Fiesta (1.75 oz) | $4.00?

These freeze dried treats are extremely healthy, made with fresh, locally grown ingredients and contain no gluten or grain. There are three different colors:  Red is ground chicken with beets and apple. White is ground chicken, turnip and banana. Green is ground chicken with spinach and peas. The Best By date is 5/31/2017 (awesome!) but Little G couldn’t wait and had already torn open the bag before I could save it for later on.

He really wanted to give Beeba a cookie, but never felt a dog treat like this! It was super light and crumbly.

The colors were extremely fitting for this month’s “Doggy de Mayo” theme too!

Beeba loves when the toddler gives her treats since Little G tends to be quite heavy-handed at dishing them out. Here you witness a rather intense moment of concentration…

Multipet Bozo The Clown Dog Toy | $10.99

This actually kind of scared me when I saw it in the box. Perhaps I watched the movie IT too early in life! Either way, Beijing really loved it and has yet to tear into it! I’m actually quite impressed at the durability of this happy clown.

Clearly Little G has not been introduced to the scariest movie of 1990 (and even creepier book by Stephen King). Look at that happy tot! He was cracking UP and driving poor Beijing wild by not immediately throwing the toy to her!

Finally, the toy is in her possession and she’s not letting go!

Oooooh the mouth-feels!! Nom nom nom….

Our Thoughts

May 2016 Pet Treater Box Total Value:  $47.21

This month’s Pet Treater box had a great value and I felt all of the items stuck with the “Doggy de Mayo” theme extremely well! Both Beijing and Little G had a ton of fun with the box’s contents and now Beijing has made a new little clown friend that she carries from room to room, without ripping it to shreds! Though we received a much smaller-sized box this month, all of the treats and toys were perfectly suited for my medium doggy.
