March 2017 Monthly Mystery Box of Awesome
Cost: $24.99 per month
There is no product information card with this subscription box. Each month a select number of subscribers are randomly chosen to receive an extra cool item inside their box. The March 2017 Monthly Mystery Box of Awesome surprised 16 subscribers with an Air Fryer!
Innovative Living – 10″ Nonstick Copper Pan ($19.99)
No cast iron pan – no problem! This is a saute’ pan that you can also put in the oven – it is oven safe up to 550 degrees. The pan is aluminum with a ceramic coating, an induction base, and can be used to saute, fry broil, braise, and bake. But wait – there’s more! It is also PFOA/PFOS/PFTE free, dishwasher safe, no oil or butter needed, and the handle is ergonomic. All kidding aside, I am really stoked to receive this pan to review! I have any number of recipes that start off on the stovetop and finish in the oven, requiring at least 2 pans to be (usually) hand washed. This copper pan, if treated gently, would be a wonderful addition to any kitchen!
Fuller Home Products – My Kitchen My Home Smart Grater ($10)
This is a compact grater that has an ergonomic design and multifunctional blades. Food is grated into the clear bottom compartment, then the top section comes off easily so you can just empty your grated food into your bowl or pan. The set includes a coarse shredder, wave slicer, slicer, and julienne slicer.
Molly & Drew – Beer Bread Mix Outdoor Original 18.17 oz ($12.95)
I can’t wait to try this! You just add a 12 oz can of beer or other carbonated beverage to the mix, pour it into a greased pan, and bake. Then pour a stick of melted butter over the top! And to sweeten the pot (if needed!), there is a recipe for a spicy cheddar campfire cornbread on the back of the bag that looks delicious. I might have to purchase another one of these so we can try both. Molly & Drew make all kinds of other flavors of beer bread, beer cake, and dip mixes, too!
Disney/Hasbro – Star Wars Titanium Series Poe’s X-Wing Fighter ($7.99)
This is a tiny 3″ X 3″ die-cast X-Wing Fighter from Star Wars: The Force Awakens. It is a display item and comes with a little stand.
Trophy Nut Co. – Girl Scout S’mores Candies in Mason Jar ($6.99)
“Sandwich one White Mini Marshmallow between two Chocolate Covered Graham Bites for the ultimate S’mores taste.”
This is an 11.5 oz. plastic mason jar of Girl Scouts S’mores candies, which turned out to be chocolate covered graham cookie bites and vanilla covered mini marshmallow bites, each sweet and tasty individually but even better together. Yum! Though I would call them cookie bites instead of candies.
The retail value of the goodies in the March 2017 Monthly Mystery Box of Awesome came to about $58, once again a great value for this subscription box! This month’s box was a great fit for us – I needed a new saute’ pan and I discovered last week, when I began to grate cheese for a recipe, that I did not have a grater here. And exploring new food brands and tastes is always a good thing!

What did you think? Would you subscribe to this mystery box? In April at least 2 people will receive a 3-D Printer!!
That’s a bunch of really useful and fun stuff.
Wow a lot of fun home items. And an inflatable hot tub-I wouldn’t mind getting that as a surprise!
I love that this month’s box was filled with so many food-related items. Anything Star Wars is always welcome. 😉
