March 2016 Tinselbox
Ooooooooooohhhh!! Easter is one of my FAVORITE holidays! Why, you ask? Because it means that Spring is right around the corner AND that my birthday is coming up soon! Plus there are so many fun activities, food, and crafts to do. I cannot wait to celebrate Easter with Little G now that he’s 2 1/2. He really understands what’s going on and gets excited about everything!
First peek into the Easter box and I see tons of colors, floral patterns, and bunnies! Yay!
Tinselbox now includes a full-color booklet with vivid illustrations, item descriptions, and inspiration for craft ideas!
Isn’t this gorgeous? I love the new booklet!
There’s a two-page spread about decorating your eggs using the supplies provided in this month’s Tinselbox!!
One thing I really love about Tinselbox is learning about the history behind each holiday. Did you know that the Easter bunny was originally a German tradition dating back to the 16th century??
Ulster Weavers Woodland Hare Cotton Tea Towel – Value: $11.64
I am in love with this tea towel design which was created exclusively by Ulster Weavers. The bright colors and floral patterns are just perfection.
Isn’t this gorgeous?? I am so excited about Easter and cannot wait to display this in the kitchen! I am resisting the urge to hang it up right now though since it is mostly white and I am inevitably going to spill coffee on it.
Monahan Papers Easter Greetings Card – Value: $1.50
What a darling Easter card! I am having a difficult time parting with this sweet card and may end up framing and displaying it on our dining table for Easter brunch! I love the vintage print!
I also love that Monahan Papers is a U.S. company and is eco-conscious! All of the paper used is FSC certified and meets the mark of responsible forestry. It’s also Green Seal certified and contains 30% recycled post consumer fiber. Yes!
Tinselbox Be Creative Egg Coloring Kit – Value: $10.00?
This little decorating kit comes in a beautiful floral baggie and contains five dye tablets, vinyl bunny stickers, rubber bands, an egg dipper stick (what are these actually called?), a black Sharpie fine point marker, and a gold paint marker!
I am so excited to dye eggs with Little G this year! I tried to use one of the bunny stickers but had some trouble applying it without bubbles because of the egg’s oblong shape… so I just winged it and had fun decorating a couple eggs with the pens anyway!
I love the idea of using Sharpies and paint pens to decorate eggs! The gold paint pen created a cool effect and Little G loved his special “G” egg! I have never drawn on eggs before, so forgive my amateur doodles! We will do more projects as it comes closer to Easter! I am excited that Tinselbox provided so many great egg decorating supplies. It’s hard to wait!
Peeps Marshmallow Bunnies (8 ct) – Value: $1.00?
Jonathan and Little G were extremely excited to see these pink bunny Peeps in my Tinselbox! Nothing says Easter like Peeps!! I will be hiding these from the boys until Easter Sunday, despite the pitiful whimpering I hear almost daily.
Tinselbox has a WONDERFUL blog filled with great holiday ideas, inspiration, and free printables to further enhance your celebrations! I finished the Dapper Bunnies printable project and love how they turned out!
Aren’t they sweet??? Here’s the [LINK] to the Tinselbox Dapper Bunnies Blog Post!
Next on my list are the Mexican Confetti Eggs! We have hollowed out and dried three eggs so far, but need to make confetti and find some white glue before we can finish the project! You can find the Mexican Confetti Eggs project [HERE]
My Thoughts
This is easily one of my favorite boxes that I receive! I mean, how can you not love a box that gets you jazzed for every upcoming holiday!?! My Easter box is amazing and I love everything about it. The Peeps will definitely go to the boys as a special treat and I am able to use everything else to decorate for my holiday family brunch and egg hunt!
This is the first month I’ve really taken a closer look into the Tinselbox blog and cannot believe what I’ve been missing these last few months! Tinselbox is becoming an integral part of my Easter planning this year and I couldn’t be happier!!
