This month’s theme is “Style Me Successful,” so I was not surprised in the least to find a much smaller box on my porch. I’m thinking accessories! 🙂 This is definitely one of my most indulgent personal splurges that I look forward to receiving every month! As always, the packaging is classically black with a beautiful satin ribbon tying everything together.
Who better to honor this month than Audrey Hepburn herself! She is the epitome of style and class and an amazing role model for young girls everywhere.
With over 25 movies to her credit, there is no doubt that Audrey achieved a rarefied position as beloved actress and icon of style. Yet, Audrey always considered her work as a UNICEF International Goodwill Ambassador her greatest role. And that is the beauty of Audrey’s legacy; that we have the opportunity to know and appreciate her gifts, both as an actress and devoted humanitarian.
I love this magazine-style information booklet. The photographs are beautiful and subscribers can learn about the businesses behind the products featured each month.
I love the motivational message at the end of the magazine!
Cocoono Letter Clutch (Beige/Ivory/Latte) – Value: $33.00
Cocoono Bags is an Etsy shop based in Poland that creates gorgeous handmade purses, clutches, and bags. Every piece is meticulously put together with care and attention to detail. This was the March spoiler which made me squeee with delight! I am a diehard Etsy fan and can get lost for days looking at all of the small, independent shops. My favorites list and shopping cart are embarrassingly full at this point… I have had my eye on Cocoono for a long while and couldn’t believe when I saw this as the March Covet Crate spoiler!
The clutch was wrapped up in brown paper packaging tied up with string! (Yes, I’m still humming that song…) I really felt like I was receiving a special gift and couldn’t wait to see it in person.
The clutch is very sturdy and includes a little zippered pocket on the interior and has a magnetic closure. I also found a thin detachable shoulder strap tucked inside.
Here it is, hanging on Little G’s little rocking chair in our living room. It hangs just below my waist and feels pretty comfortable on my shoulder, however I will probably be using it without the strap… I think it looks prettier as a clutch!
31 Bits Daphne Bracelet (Gold/Ivory) – Value: $10.00
I feel like I’m late to the 31 Bits party, but am so glad I received this bracelet and was able to learn more about this outstanding company. This simple, yet elegant gold and ivory-colored bracelet is handcrafted from little bits of paper that are varnished and strung together onto an elastic band.
31 Bits offers beautiful jewelry that is handmade by women artisans in Uganda. Every purchase helps 31 Bits fund a five-year holistic development program where each woman receives health education, finance training, counseling, and business training. This bracelet has become one of my favorite pieces of jewelry. I have worn it almost every day since receiving it and plan on purchasing more jewelry from 31 Bits to continue supporting this amazing mission.
Zoya Satin Nail Polish (Brittany) – Value: $10.00
I love Zoya nail polish and feel so classy when wearing it. This rose mauve polish looks great, is long-lasting and does not contain any toxins. The satin sheen is a hybrid between matte and glossy and is not meant to be worn with a top coat. It dries really quickly and looks beautiful! I will be holding onto this one for certain!
Reckless Crush Raw Brass Adjustable Flower Ring – Value: $7.00
This is a darling little ring that looks so delicate and adjusts extremely well without breaking. I love the versatility and have worn it every day since I got this box!
I used to wear only silver-colored jewelry, but am finding myself gravitating slowly toward gold as I get older… hmm…
Type Couture Valentino Peonies Print – Value: $8.50 (Download cost)
This is a very pretty watercolor print that features beautiful pink peonies in a Valentino glass container. I love peonies and think this will look beautiful in my home office!
I only had a black frame available, and unfortunately think it’s too dark for this delicate print. Oh well, I guess I’ll have to go shopping for a white frame… darn.
One thing to note: it states in the Covet magazine that this is a hand-signed print by the artist. I checked both sides of my print and did not find a signature, so perhaps mine was just overlooked?
My Thoughts
March 2016 Covet Crate “Girl Boss” Total Value: $68.50
This month’s Girl Boss box was just perfect for me personally. I am a sucker for casual jewelry and purses (and wallets, totes… pretty much any bag really). As always, the value of the box exceeded what I paid for it and the curation was on point with the theme. Though I was expecting some type of office supplies to be included in the box, I really did not miss them.
Did you notice that every item was hand-selected and purchased from women-run businesses? I was just having a conversation today with a talented young woman who runs a successful boutique stationery business. We talked about the sheer beauty in women supporting other women in business; Covet Crate certainly has my support and gratitude in doing so.

I love the 31 Bits Daphne Bracelet. I have one that looks similar to this. 🙂
