Little Lace Box Review December 2015
Little Lace Box is a subscription box that sends lovely designer beauty and lifestyle items into your life every other month. The price for each box is $59.99 but they have dropped the price to $49.99 on their website. The price drops further if you subscribe for 6 or 12 months (3 boxes or 6 boxes). And they will send you a free RH Faux Fur Throw with a new annual subscription!
Each box is curated along a theme. December’s theme was “It’s only with the heart,” inspired by the story of The Little Prince. This theme focused on “family and cherishing what is truly important in our lives.” There is a product information letter included that describes each item curated for this month’s box.
Kristin Pearce Designs Large Pearl Pendant ($45)
A pearl begins with one grain of sand. This pretty pearl pendant on a gold metal fine chain is to remind us that the desert we all occasionally travel through is just temporary. Pearls are a classic, just like the story, and go with almost any occasion.
Passport to Beauty Tibetan Goji Berry Eye Serum .05 oz ($88)
As the Little Prince wandered, so does the Little Lace Box! This Tibetan eye serum is one expensive little tube. I thought it was a sample size but when I did the research I found that it is indeed $88 for this tiny tube of eye wonder! It is described as having a powerful formula with Goji Berry and retinol that stimulates collagen production and reduces fine lines and wrinkles. I look forward to seeing if it works!
Pre de Provence Lumiere Fragrant Candle -Verbena ($14.99)
This beautiful soy wax blend candle came in either Lavender or Verbena. It is lovely with its vintage mercury glass holder and smells just wonderful! The candle represents the Lamplighter in the Little Prince story.
Shiraleah Wool Blend Fingerless Gloves – Ivory ($15)
These warm gloves are a chunky knit with large brown wooden buttons. They came in Ivory, Grey, Blue, Red or Black and are another reference to the Lamplighter in the story. I live in the country and when I go outside in the winter it is to get something done, so fingerless gloves work very well for me! I have crocheted them in the past but these lovelies are much thicker and warmer than my creations.
Royal Classics Decorative 4 X 6 Frame ($10)
This is a very pretty frame, quite Rococo in its elaborate style. It is described as grey but I would call it a cream color. I’m sure I can find a grandchild photo for it to display.
Luggage Tag by R. Nichols ($6)
Use this on your luggage as you explore like the Little Prince! We travel a lot so I’m sure to put it right to work, like next week when we head out to the Caribbean.
Bonus – Travel Peppermint Candle ($5)
This is a great smelling peppermint candle in a little round tin. The lid has an image of a fox with a rose garland around its head by illustrator Victoria Novak, representing two of the Little Prince’s beloved friends, The Fox and The Rose.
The value of the items sent in the December box came to over $180, a real bargain for the price paid. This is a wonderful way to explore high quality products at a bargain basement price and I am quite pleased with my first My Little Lace box! Have you tried this subscription box yet? If not, this might be a great time to do it with the sale they have going on at their website!
Thinking about the February box?
The Homespun Chics paid for this subscription. All opinions are 100% our own.
This is my type of box and I really like the pendant and candle. They sure have really nice stuff and this would be a good gift to give family members for their birthday!
That’s an interesting mix of things you got in your box. Nothing I’d really like.
What a sweet box. I love the wide variety of items. Cute!
