My Texas Market is a monthly subscription box that sends you 4-6 carefully selected products from Texas farmers’ markets and local businesses. The small-batch artisan items fit a monthly theme and could be anything from foods, snacks, teas, candles, beauty products, crafts or any other thing you might find in a Texas farmers’ market.

Their purpose is to expose customers to new products and companies while supporting local artisan businesses. 10% of all profits are donated to the Houston Food Bank.

Subscription costs are:

1 month – $35

3 months – $100

6 months – $195

Subscription prices do not include shipping or any applicable taxes. They do promise that the value of each box will be at least $35 -$40 but to not expect that they will send a hugely underpriced box of items. You can cancel at any time or just skip a month if you wish. And if you want to purchase more of something or add to your box, they have an online market with lots of things to choose from.

My Texas Market includes a helpful product information card. They provide information on each product and you can learn all about the local Texas companies that produce each one.

First peek! All of the goodies arrived in excellent condition with nothing crushed or broken – an excellent start to exploring this fun subscription box!

Spaulding’s Specialty Spices – Pride of Texas All Purpose Seasoning 4.4 oz ($8.00)

This is a brand new Spaulding seasoning blend, made from locally grown ingredients and handcrafted in small batches. It is perfect on meats and  deliciously enhanced the grilled chicken breasts we had for dinner last night! Ingredients are LaBaleine sea salt, organic brown sugar, Tellicherry pepper, onion, mustard, garlic, smoked paprika, chili powder, celery seed, and turmeric.

Bravado Spice Company – Pineapple & Habanero Hot Sauce 5 oz ($6.64)

This hot sauce is a bold blend of fresh pineapple and hot habanero, making it sweet and spicy to blend well with light proteins like chicken, pork, and seafood. It also works on veggies, especially sweet potatoes (my favorite!)

The King and I – Peach Bourbon Honey Glaze 8 oz ($9.00)

This glaze is made from raw honey, peach bourbon and peppers and is perfect to pour over your grilled meats or veggies just before serving to give them a tasty glaze. Or you can use it over cream cheese as a starter.  The King and I gives profits from each sale to their non-profit refuge for abused and/or trafficked women and children.

No 4 St. James – 6 Chocolate Chip Bourbon Bombs ($8.00)

These are gourmet cookies made with Texas Straight Bourbon Whiskey, Texas pecans, and semi-sweet chocolate chips, moist, rich, and made fresh in small batches. They are truly addictive and as much as I planned to keep one for when I wrote about them, I have to admit they are GONE!

Dallas Caramel Company – 8 Bacon Caramels & Texas Drunken Nut Caramels ($7)

These caramels are really to-die-for! They are handcrafted and small batch made with all natural ingredients like real butter, and are truly the best caramels I have ever eaten. The company makes 14 caramel flavors like apple pie, sea salt, chocolate, espresso, and marshmallow, plus several varieties of Texas turtles. The bacon caramels are made with real bacon pieces and the drunken nut ones have Texas whiskey as their main flavor!  They are sold in shops around Texas plus you can order them online and they ship within 2-3 days of your order being placed.

The June 2017 My Texas Market box has to be the perfect bourbon & BBQ box! Each of the items were delicious and perfectly curated for this month!
