June 2016 Revel Box
“The Summer Adventure Box”
This month’s theme is so fun! I hope to fill Little G’s summers with all of the excitement and adventure that I had growing up. The June 2016 Revel Box is wrapped with cute brown paper packaging, fun stamps, and a personalized sticker! Deanna (owner) takes the time to carefully craft and wrap every box she mails. I feel like I’m receiving a special care package from a dear friend each time I open up my Revel Box.
Deanna revamped her box offerings and I am LOVING the options. All boxes are one-time purchases and can be purchased monthly, seasonally, or even for special occasions like birthdays and other celebrations! All boxes include the cost of shipping and are a perfect way to make you or a loved one smile! ?

I came home one day to find a flat envelope on my doorstep and quickly realized this was part of my June Revel Box! The sticker says, “Oh snap! Your Revel Box is on its way!” You think that could be a hint??
Sky Goodies DIY Paper Camera Photo Frame | $3.99
Wow! Look at this fun DIY kit! I am in love with this vintage camera and couldn’t wait to get started (and nervous that I would mess it up).
Here are all of the pieces carefully popped out of the pre-cut, pre-creased template. Fortunately, the included instructions were very straightforward and guided me through the whole process. I used glue tape which worked extremely well initially, however the adhesive is not as strong as I would like and I’m planning on reinforcing the seams with hot glue… as soon as I can locate my hot glue gun and glue sticks…
The finished product! I love the look and think I’m going to display it as-is, though I could easily slide a 6cm x6cm photo inside the “lens” part and use it as a picture frame! This project was not nearly as difficult as I imagined and I have since fallen in love with several other DIY projects available at the Sky Goodies Etsy shop!
My June Revel Box arrived within days of receiving the first package!
Revel Box Personalized Merit Badge Stickers!
Did you know that I was a Girl Scout as a child? Yup, I totally rocked the green vest and enjoyed spending many family vacations earning merit badges all over the U.S.! These Revel Box stickers are super adorable and are even personalized with my name! My Revel Box merit badges include Firefly Catcher (and Releaser), Mushroom Hunter, Animal Tracker, Feather Finder, Moon Gazer, and Fire Starter. Too cute!

Sutil Designs Vintage Green Cuba Radio 5″ x 7″ Print | $7.00
I received an extra item in my box! This retro radio print was offered as a special promotion to anyone using code EXTRA when purchasing the June box! I love the clean design and can’t wait to find the perfect frame so I can display it on my desk.
Lil Tin Purse Shasta Camper Rare Earth Magnet | $3.75
This is a 1.5″ wooden coin magnet featuring a Shasta style camper graphic. The rare earth magnet on the back is incredibly strong and works well to secure all of Little G’s artwork on the fridge! I love the details on this original camper print. It reminds me of childhood summers spent traveling with my parents and brother in our little RV. Little G is already having fun playing with this magnet on the fridge and it appears to be holding up well to a toddler. (Bonus points for durability!)
Ello There Time for a Road Trip Vinyl Sticker | $4.50
I am LOVING this retro van! The vinyl sticker measures 4″ across and would look cute as a bumper sticker. I may just stick this on my music stand so I can see it during rehearsals. 🙂 This was one of two sticker options featured in the Summer Adventures box (randomly selected). The second vinyl sticker featured a mint green Sasquatch holding a National Parks sign (see HERE). Both are equally adorable!
Ello There National Park Postcards (Set of 12) | $21.00
These beautiful illustrations were taken from the original National Parks calendar created by Ello There and made in the USA. Each postcard measures 5.4″ x 4.25″ and is printed on thick 110lb cream cover stock.
This is a FULL SET of their U.S. National Park illustrations, including Acadia, Arches, Crater Lake, Everglades, Glacier Bay, Grand Canyon, Hawaii Volcanoes, Olympic, Rocky Mountains, Sequoia, Smoky Mountains, and Yellowstone. Since retiring, my mom and dad have been volunteering at national parks across the country. Mom fell in love with these postcards, so I am giving this set to her to frame and display in their camper trailer. 🙂
Antonin+Margaux Tribe Handprinted Tote Bag | $13.50
This is one of my favorite items in the June 2016 Revel Box. The tote is handprinted with blue water-based ink and depicts a serene tribal camp site. I love the minimalist design and will be using this tote to carry groceries (so I can show it off!) One can never have too many tote bags.
My Thoughts
This month’s box was SO much fun and really brought me back to my carefree childhood days. I love the vintage feel and really appreciate Deanna’s thoughtful curation. The DIY camera project was fun, albeit nerve-racking, and the postcards are a real treat for mom. I love this Summer Adventure box and can’t wait to begin our own adventures this year!
