June 2016 Purr-Packs – “Multi-Cat Mega-Pack”
CAUTION: This post contains a LOT of cat pictures. You have been warned.
It’s here! It’s here! My kitties couldn’t wait to dive into this delectable subscription box! All six of my cats have been so jealous of Beijing’s monthly Pet Treater boxes and have been patiently waiting for the mailman to deliver a package perfectly fit for felines. I was surprised by how large the box was when it arrived and knew my cats would freak the freak out when they got into it!
The Costs:

Coupon Goodness!!!
Save 20% off your first box using code: HOMESPUN20
Awwww!! The box is personalized with all six of my kitties’ names! How sweet is this?! Their names barely fit on the space provided, which is probably a good indicator that I should stop adopting cats at the moment… 🙂 I’m positive Jonathan would agree with this statement.
First peek in the box! I actually had to take the box outside to keep the kitties away long enough to grab a couple “before” pictures. They wouldn’t leave the box alone in the house!!
The info card had a sweet little note on the front and included an excellent coupon code for our readers to use!
The back of the card details everything in the box! I love receiving an info card in subscription boxes; it helps make sure we don’t accidentally miss anything in the box while giving a little insight into all of the items included.
Extras!
I’ve heard of Dr. Catsby’s bowls (made to reduce whisker fatigue during feeding) and would take advantage of this 15% off coupon if I had only one or two cats, however I would give Jonathan a heart attack if I purchased six of them! Smittn is a free app where you can upload cute photos of your cat to compete for monthly prizes. The basic premise is to vote between two pics displayed on-screen to determine the cutest cat on the interwebs. It looks like an adorable time-suck and I will most likely download this from the App Store next time I get bored!
Petstages Purr Pillow | $10.75
Look at this little guy! There is actually a purring mechanism inside that is activated by gently pressing on the head. The purring lasts for 2 minutes and is designed to comfort cats of all ages. The purring mechanism is removable so you can wash the toy!
Agi, my bengal, was the only cat interested in the fuzzy, purring creature. She sat on it for a while, but otherwise left it alone. Mom has a cat named Socks who could really use some purr pillow action. The poor kitty is a nervous wreck and suffers from terrible separation anxiety whenever my parents go off on a trip. I have kept the purr pillow intact to take over to mom’s house for Socks. I am positive he will love it and hopefully it will help calm him down while they are away!
Zanies Skedaddles Pull Cord Toy (Squirrel) | $9.03
This is a fairly large plush vermin for the kitties to chase around! Thankfully it does not require any batteries to work and instead has a short pull cord to activate the “jitters” that make the toy buzz across the floor.
Look at this little cutie!!!! Eeeeep!
Agi was the first to attack the jittery squirrel and instantly took off up the stairs with the toy! It took me several minutes to figure out where she hid the toy (in Little G’s room, under his bed, against the far wall). This toy has been found everywhere in our house since the photo shoot and I’m unsure who loves it more: the cats or my toddler. Little G thinks the vibrations are hilarious!
Cat is Good Catnip Toy | $1.00?
Savvy Tabby Leopard Lizard | $1.00?
These toys are seriously cute. One thing I learned with cats is that no matter how much money you throw at them (in the form of expensive toys), you can never ever go wrong with basic toss and chase plushies!!
Tidbit is looking so stoic here, but about 45 seconds after I shot this picture she was rolling all over, kangaroo-kicking the toy and spazzing out.
Rambo claimed the Savvy Tabby leopard lizard and absolutely would NOT share it with any of the other cats! She had a five minute love-fest with the toy and eventually deposited it in the water bowl for safe keeping. (It is still drying out…)
Petmate Fat Cat Fluffy Feathers Cat Toys | $8.42
Feathers! As soon as I opened the box I knew these toys would not last a day in this house. My cats have a weird obsession with feathered toys and will spend hours licking the feathers and chewing on them until they’re in tattered pieces all over the floor. No clue what that’s all about, but my cats LOVED these little guys!
Agi & Rambo inspecting the merchandise.
At some point, Cooper took the blue-feathered creature up to his roost away from the other cats!
Imagine This Car Window Decal (Miss Kitty) | $9.79
Yay! I get a surprise in the box too! I found the *perfect* spot for my vinyl sticker…
What do you think?! Rambo totally approves of my placement. My computer was in need of a crazy cat lady make-over! I love this decal!
We also received two full-size treat bags! I love that Purr-Packs includes treats that are only made domestically in the USA. This is huge with all of the constant recalls happening internationally.
Zuke’s Natural Purrz Cat Treats (Savory Salmon Recipe) | $2.09
These treats are shaped like little Z’s and are the perfect size for nibbly kitties. This flavor is made with salmon as the #1 ingredient and contains bits of cranberries! The treats are semi-soft and slightly chewy (judging by the lip-smacking and chomping that went down).
Tidbit and Rambo were the first to dig in… These four treats were gone within seconds!
Cloud Star Buddy Biscuits Cat Treats (Tempting Tuna) | $3.16
These treats were a HUGE hit with all of my cats, especially Tidbit. Buddy Biscuits are grain free, gluten free, and small enough to give multiple treats without making any tummies sore. The treats are slightly softer than the Natural Purrz and worked well even for Kitters, who has some dental problems.
Tidbit wouldn’t even allow the treat to fall to the floor before snatching it up! She is obsessed with cat treats and snarfed these up before many of the other cats even had a chance to try them!
Purr-Packs Scratcher Board with Catnip! | $8.00?
Holy cow! Can you believe that every Purr-Packs package comes with a new scratcher board?! That is SO cool and really useful! My cats cannot resist a brand new cardboard scratcher and will fight over the highly coveted scratching board until it is worn down.
I’d like to take just a moment to observe the CUTEST moustached kitties in the universe!
Agi was able to grab a quick catnap before she was attacked by Tidbit and Rambo for their turn on the new scratcher board!
Rambo was protecting her prize possession from Beijing as she came in for a closer look at the kitties’ loot! Rambo gave poor Beeba a quick pop in the nose to warn her to stay back!
Our Thoughts
June 2016 Purr-Packs “Multi-Cat Mega-Pack” Total Value: $53.24
I just realized I’m missing two of my cats in these pictures! Katie was absolutely nowhere to be found during the whole event, mainly because Little G was terrorizing the kitty camp by being raucous and loud!
And here is Kitters, King of the Purr-Packs!! Such a sweet old man; he played with the toys like a little kitten after the photo shoot was over. He’s such a humble, gentle soul.
My cats absolutely LOVED Purr-Packs and are still playing with all of the toys! (Like, right this second.) I am so impressed by the overall variety and quality in the box and love that every box gets a new scratch pad! I think it’s a great idea to have three size-options for Purr-Packs too. The Multi-Cat Mega-Pack contained enough toys and treats to satisfy all six of my cats, which is no small feat!
Purr-Packs definitely gets an A+ from this crazy household! My kitties have never felt so spoiled!
xo
Sarah & the cats
So cute! Rambo looks just like my Salem!
I love all of this. I love how a portion of profits are donated to NPOs. And I love every item featured here! (Well, except for the cat decal. But no worries– I love everything else that much.) And the best thing about Purr-Packs? It’s even packaged in a cardboard box, for my little ginger cat to sit in!
Oh 6 furbabies!!!?? I bet you are busy!! They looks like they had a blast with this box!! Love the mustache kitties on the scratch pad!! Super cute!
Makes me wish I still had a cat that I could give this to.
I am going to have to tell my mom about this box. We have her cat because she couldn’t keep her anymore. It worked out great because we just love her so much and my mom gets to visit her. She is always sending treats and toys too Tao so this box would be perfect.
What a fun box! Our cats would love all of the toys and treats. 🙂
