July 2016 Pet Treater Review + Coupons
Pet Treater is a monthly subscription box for dogs that contains quality items for a fraction of the retail value. Box contents may include treats (made in USA or Canada only), interactive toys, accessories, grooming supplies, and more! For every box that ships, Pet Treater donates a toy, bag of treats, or blanket to an animal shelter in need.

July 2016 Pet Treater Box for Medium Dog (21 – 50 lb)
Beijing knows when her subscription box arrives because of the large box and all the good smells coming from inside! Poor girl had to wait until the end of the month before I let her play with all her new things. July is a crazy busy month for our family; we needed to plan a party for Little G’s THIRD birthday (can you believe it??) followed quickly by our anniversary! Finally, I was able to sit down with our sweet Beeba girl and open her box. Yay! 🙂

Hahaha, this month’s sticker is hilarious! It has been SO hot and muggy outside and Beijing does her fair share of “melting” with her half-basset-half-sharpei jowls flopping on the couch just like the pooch in this picture. Though maybe not quite as melty…
First peek in the box! I spy a super cool toy peeking out…
July Theme: Dog Days of Summer!
This month’s letter is from Argy who provides great tips to keep your pup nice and cool on these warm summer days. I really like the treat inside an ice cube idea — I never thought of doing that! Argy also reminded us that with every purchase of a Pet Treater box, we have helped donate a bed, blanket, or toy to a local shelter dog or cat. (This is SO awesome it hurts.)
July 2016 Pet Treater Animal Rescue Spotlight: Karma K-9 in Albany, NY
Some months ago, Pet Treater began featuring a different animal rescue organization every month. I love reading about all of the organizations and am so glad that Pet Treater is spreading the word about all of the great things that are being done for rescued pets!
Star Spangled Bandana | $5.00?
No judging! Since we (I) didn’t open Beeba’s Pet Treater box until now, we completely missed the opportunity to dress up Beeba for the 4th of July! This is a really nice blue and white star bandana that will be *perfect* for (next year’s) 4th of July celebrations. I am totally saving this for next year… and yes, I recognize that I may have some hoarding issues….
Spongeables Spa-in-a-Sponge for Dogs | $6.99
Wow, this sponge smells really good! Normally, I use the KONG ZoomGroom brush on Beeba during bath time to remove all of her loose hair. Those things are UH-mazing and help make her coat smooth and silky. I just gave her a bath last weekend (darn it!) but am super excited to compliment the ZoomGroom with her new Spongeables sponge! It is infused with shampoo which I’m sure will produce an excellent lather. Beeba is going to be quite the pampered pooch! Yay for doggy spa day!!
Dog Bone & Footprint Silicone Mold | $3.99
Silicone molds are perfect for making chocolates, candies, and fun ice cubes! I have never made doggy ice cream before but have purchased some from our local creameries in town. Beeba LOVES it and always licks her bowl clean after every treat. Pet Treater included a great and easy doggy ice cream recipe to go with the silicone mold…
… and the recipe is even printed on a magnet so it can be stuck to the fridge! We will definitely be trying this out soon! The mold itself is really pliable and will pop out the ice cream treats with ease. We’re super excited!!!
“Chill Tube” Cooling Towel by Cool Core | $8.99
This re-useable (wet, wring & wave) towel provides quick, long-lasting personal cooling and reduces surface area temperature by up to 30%! Provides chemical free cooling and is constructed from incredibly soft material that remains soft after repeated uses. This towel has anti-microbial protection that inhibits growth of odor-causing bacteria, mold, mildew, and fungal on the treated material. Reuse over and over simply by re-wetting the towel. This unique fabric derives its cooling function from its construction- Comprised within a single layer, a multiplicity of fibers create a capillary system, wicking moisture away from the skin, circulating the moisture throughout the entire garment and regulating the rate of evaporation before releasing the molecules into the atmosphere. – 13Deals.com
COOL!!! I am ridiculously excited about this towel because I have been running every other day during lunch and it is HOT outside. This is a perfect size towel to keep in the car, wet with water after my run and cool me off before coming back into the office. I will be trying this out tomorrow after my run! 🙂
Frosty Bowl Chilled Pet Water Bowl | $15.29
This is PERFECT for these hot summer days! Beeba loves to lay out on our back deck and enjoy all the smells in the air but it is extremely hot and her water gets warm almost instantly.
To use, you remove the bowl from the base and chill it in the freezer for two hours before replacing it and filling with water. It holds 16 oz of water and will stay chilled for up to 8 hours! Beijing will be so happy next time she goes out on the deck and needs a drink. I can’t wait!
Loving Pets Grill-icious All Natural Beef Treats (8 oz) | $7.29
Expiration Date: 01/2017
Loving Pets Grill-icious All Natural Turkey Treats (4 oz) | $4.19
Expiration Date: 06/2017
I am so impressed with this brand! Loving Pets treats are 100% all natural with NO by-products and are made in the USA! The bite sized treats are dry, not greasy, and can easily be broken into smaller pieces for training purposes. Beeba enjoyed both varieties though she was slightly more enthusiastic with the beef treats. These two bags came at the perfect time since we were running low in the treat jar!
Fetch for Pets Captain America Bottle Stuffer Dog Toy | $11.66
Beijing LOVES these plush bottle cover dog toys! Captain America is very fitting for July too. 🙂
If the plush head and limbs can survive Beeba’s chew sessions, we can easily replace the included plastic bottle and prolong the toy’s lifespan.
Beeba is such a good girl! She waited until I got my camera ready before going after her new toy!
“FINALLY!!!” She loves that satisfying crinkle sound when she bites down on the bottle… Little G had a great time playing fetch with her too. (Both dog and toddler practiced throwing and chasing the toy.) Hopefully Captain America will survive a few weeks before being destroyed!
Emmy’s Gourmet Specialty Treats “Three Cheese Pleasers” | $2.50
This is the second treat we have received from Emmy’s Gourmet Specialty Treats! (The first was a cute clover & dog bone cookie set in our March Pet Treater box.) I love this month’s cute American flag design and Beeba loved the flavor! All of Emmy’s treats are made in Tennessee using fresh, high quality ingredients.
Beeba enjoyed her patriotic treat and ate the entire cheesy cookie in under a minute! Yum!
Our Thoughts
July 2016 Pet Treater Box Total Value: $65.90
As always, Pet Treater’s value far surpasses the $24.99 monthly cost by a huge margin! The theme was perfect for one of the hottest month’s of the year and we loved every single item in the box. I am beyond excited to try out my “human” pet treater item and really hope the cooling towel helps me not pass out after my mid-day run tomorrow! I love receiving plushies for Beeba every month because they cost so much in the store and she chews through them so rapidly. The bottle toy has a greater chance of survival than most soft toys, so hopefully it will last until next month! This was an excellent month for Pet Treater and we are really looking forward to August!
Don’t forget, if you want to grab a FREE pet bed with your first month, click this link and enter the coupon PT-BED at check-out! If you already have a pet bed, you can use the code LOVE-PT5 to save $5.00 off your first box! Don’t forget to add the bonus “Flash Sale”*item to your cart before adding your subscription to get it for free as well!!!

August Theme: Best in Show!
Our dog would love it! What wonderful items, and it’s nice that it is to the dog and you get to say the size dog. I didn’t know about that treat in an ice cube, either. I’ll pass it along. Bandannas are great to “dress” up, and what a fun mold with the dog paws.
I love how there is more than just treats in this box. Really like the dog paws mold too. Can never seem to spot one in the store,
I really like how the treats are made in USA or Canada only. The Dog Bone & Footprint Silicone Mold is probably my favorite item in here. So cute! 🙂
Omgosh what an awesome box!! I love everything in it but to be honest my favorite part is that they include your dog’s name in the box 🙂 Makes it feel more personal!!
Pet Treater stayed true to its July spoilers. The doggies will be happy to start eating and playing with the items from the July box. We joke that Daisy is a self-cleaning dog because she ll come in filthy and be sparkling clean an hour later. I am going to try it on her because she hates baths.
