July 2016 Birchbox Review
Birchbox is a monthly beauty subscription box that contains five beauty samples curated for different categories, including skin, hair, makeup and fragrance. You complete a Beauty Profile when you create your customer account to help them choose what to include in your box. For $10 each month or $110 for an annual subscription, this thrifty little box lets you try new beauty products for a very low cost and always meets or exceeds the value of the price paid.
The Homespun Chics paid for this subscription box. All opinions are 100% our own.

The July 2016 Birchbox includes a helpful product information card that tells you about each of the samples and gives a (full size) price for each product. This is always helpful and appreciated. And it shows a little extra care for both the companies providing the items and the recipients trying them out!
Birchbox has packed their July goodies in yet another very pretty box! I really need to find a use for these boxes since I can’t make myself part with them!
The July 2016 Birchbox theme is “Hello World Let’s do this!” and is all about things that get you moving.
Elizabeth Mott – It’s So Big Volumizing Mascara, black sample size .14 oz ($8)
This mascara has an hourglass brush shape with a long and short bristle pattern to grow your lashes bigger with each layer.
Klorane – Smoothing and Relaxing Patches with Soothing Cornflower, 2 patches ($3.43)
This is a pair of eye patches to place under the eyes when you need to refresh, moisturize and brighten the delicate under-eye tissues. The patches reduce puffiness and lines and I have seen some great reviews on their effectiveness.
Marcelle – 3 in 1 Micellar Solution sample size 1.7 oz ($3.33)
This is a scent-free, hypoallergenic makeup remover that even works on long-wear and waterproof makeup. It cleanses, soothes and get that makeup off with a rinse-free formula that is enriched with aloe and cucumber extract.
Obliphica Professional – Seaberry Hair Serum sample size .5 oz ($8.77)
This leave-in hair serum has Sea Buckthorn oil to nourish, protect, and repair your hair from sun damage. It also controls frizz. Sounds like good stuff!
Supergoop! – Defense Refresh Setting Mist SPF 50 sample size .5 oz ($8)
This is a 3-in-1 mist with a matte finish that sets your makeup, controls oil and has SPF 50 sun protection. Plus it smells like rosemary!
The cost of the items curated for the July 2016 Birchbox came to roughly $31.53, and that was for 5 sample-sized products! Other than the mascara, each item was something you would use for basic maintenance of skin care and hair care. And to follow with the monthly theme, I guess they would all get you going out into the world in the best shape possible! Once again, Birchbox is great value for your money and is a super subscription box for trying out these premium brands!
Oooh that setting mist!! Sounds so perfect for Summer!!
