Java Factory – Blueberry Shortcake Flavored Coffee

I was super excited to try out this yummy-sounding coffee. I mean, c’mon… blueberry shortcake?! Yes, PLEASE! Java Factory Roasters makes their coffee from fresh roasted, perfectly ground 100% Arabica coffee beans. They hand craft their specialty coffees to ensure flavor and smoothness. Their single serve cups are Keurig-compatible, including the 2.0 brewers.

The Blueberry Shortcake coffee is a limited edition, seasonal flavor that tastes equal parts coffee and dessert. My family loves fresh blueberries and we almost always have a tray in the fridge (when we can get them!) Our Java Factory box arrived in time for us to share our coffee bounty with my in-laws for Mother’s Day. Each box contains 40 coffee pods, which was perfect since the whole family was there to celebrate the day!

Absolutely everyone LOVED the blueberry flavor! I was definitely surprised at this, especially since my father-in-law doesn’t particularly care for flavored coffees yet loved this one. His thoughts were so good, I wanted to share them with you:

So I don’t usually like flavored coffee but I do like blueberries and shortcake and coffee. I was honestly surprised. It was bright, crisp, and smooth all at the same time. I felt like I was having a cup of coffee with a blueberry scone. The blueberry flavor was very natural and did not overpower the coffee flavor. Very nice balance. Thanks for sharing it!

As I do for all coffee pods, I recommend using the smallest cup setting on the Keurig in order to get the strongest flavor. I added some cream and sugar to my mug and was surprised at how delicately sweet and flavorful it turned out to be! Java Factory hit a home run on this one for my in-laws. They loved it so much that I ended up leaving (what was left of) the box with them to enjoy! I’m such a good daughter-in-law. 😉

Seasonal Flavored coffees are almost always my favorite and my #1 favorite depends on the season at that time. At the moment, tied for #1 are: Blueberry Shortcake, Flyin’ Hawaiian, S’mores and Spring Break! In the Fall I’d probably want to drink Trick or Treat every single day!

My favorites would be the S’mores and the Trick & Treat, although if the Blueberry Shortcake is as good as Dunkin’s Blueberry Pancake it would be a contender.
