The Homespun Chics paid for this subscription. All opinions are 100% our own. This post contains affiliate links.
January Eatsie Box
Our January Eatsie Box arrived to our house just in time! We finished the box of goodies we received last month and really enjoyed the curation so we decided to purchase another box!
The Cost: $23.00 per month
Box plans are available as recurring monthly, (NEW!) 3-month, 6-month, and 12-month subscriptions.
DISCOUNT COUPONS
EATSIECHICS – Save 50% off your first box of a monthly subscription!
EATSIECHICS6 – Save $35 off a six-month subscription!
EATSIECHICS12 – Save $75 off a 12-month subscription!
Here’s where to go: After adding the box to your cart, go to My Account in the main menu header and then select Update Preferences from the right-hand side. A pop-up window appeared and offered me a list of several amazing options to choose from. (See picture above.) I made my selections and saved my preferences.
At Checkout, you’ll enter your desired ship week. (This is also where you should enter your coupon code: EATSIECHICS, EATSIECHICS6, or EATSIECHICS12 to save $$ on your subscription!)
The January Eatsie Box was heavy with our snacking bounty and contained a little thank you note.
The actual note reads:
We hope you love these snacks as much as we love kitten videos. So that’s really saying something. Thanks for subscribing!
EatsieBox – Packed just for you by: Kira
I mean, c’mon. Anyone who knows me even a little bit knows that all you have to do is talk kittens to me and I’ll be smiling all day! The January Eatsie Box is already a winner in my book. 🙂
GimMe Sesame Roasted Seaweed Snacks (17 oz) – Value: $2.19
Heh. What can I say? I went to Florida and had a serious craving for some seaweed snacks, which I happened to have in my January Eatsie Box… aaand proceeded to gobble up the entire package. No sharing. No picture. Nadda. Oops! If you like to chomp on delicious seaweed like me, you’re going to love these. The sesame wasn’t overpowering and the seaweed was nice and crispy.
Reese’s Peanut Butter Trees (4 count) – Value: $1.50?
Who doesn’t love Reese’s? I am seriously oblivious here, people. I was googling around to get an idea of how much these bad boys cost and stumbled on the Reese’s Peanut Butter Trees Controversy. Hello, crazies! Reese’s candies taste amazing. (And to note, all of my trees were unidentifiable blobs… sweet, chocolate peanut buttery, delicious blobs.)
Daelman’s Jumbo Stroopwafels (2 count) – Value: $1.99
I have been obsessed with these stroopwafels ever since my mom brought some back from a trip in Europe. I received this package of caramel waffles in my Christmas stocking this year but already ate them with my morning coffee long ago. These caramel stroopwafels are best when warmed over a cup of freshly brewed Dynamite Roasting Sumatra coffee.
Ring Pops (Cherry Cola, Strawberry, Blue Raspberry Watermelon) – Value: $1.99
These bring me back to my childhood big time! Three ring pops — three people in our house. It’s perfect. (I am totally calling dibs on the Cherry Cola flavor.)
Stash Green Tea (Moroccan Mint) – Value: $3.29
I took the price from the Stash Orange Spice tea on EatsieBox’s shop listing, though the Moroccan Mint green tea is currently available through Amazon at $6.22. I do love green tea despite being an admitted coffee addict. This is a blend of green tea, spearmint, lemongrass and peppermint.
Terra Original Sea Salt Vegetable Chips (1 oz) – Value: $0.56
These are some seriously tasty chips. I really like Terra veggie chips and was glad to have a snack bag to take to work when the hunger pangs set in. 🙂
The Ginger People Gin-Gins Chewy Ginger Candy (1.6 oz) – Value: $1.54
Living in Asheville, ginger chews are probably more prevalent than chewing gum. I think these are okay but I’ll be giving them to one of my friends that loves ginger candies.
Endangered Species 88% Cocoa Dark Chocolate Bar (3 oz) – Value: $2.60
I have been fortunate enough to try the Endangered Species chocolate bars before now and they are fantastic (try the dark chocolate with caramel and sea salt). Additionally, the company is committed to donating 10% of their net profits to seven select wildlife conservation organizations with a minimum annual donation of $10,000 each! Mom adores dark chocolate so I gave this one to her to enjoy.
Blissful Biscuits Good Dog Coal Treats (3 oz) – Value: $2.99
I am always on the lookout for treats that don’t contain chicken for my mom’s dog, Rocket (he has a chicken allergy). These treats are made with oat flour, charcoal powder, eggs, vegetable oil, fresh parsley, peppermint oil and milk. The border collies went crazy for these cute charcoal biscuits!
From Blissful Biscuits: Dogs love the taste! Charcoal absorbs odors in the stomach to curb ‘doggy breath.’ Parsley and peppermint are natural breath fresheners.
Nestle Lion Candy Bar – Value: $1.99
This candy bar comes from England and looks just delicious. It is made with wafers, caramel, and a thick chocolate coating. Yummy! I am such a great daughter though, and gave this candy bar to my mom to cheer her up one day. (She seems to be getting all of my chocolatey treats this month!!)
Laffy Taffy Rope (Cherry) – Value: $0.42
Jonathan already called dibs on this, which is just as well. I don’t personally like getting candy stuck in my teeth. If anyone knows a way to eat taffy without this happening, please let me know your secret!
Kinder Happy Hippo Biscuits (5 count) – Value: $3.80
Oh. My. Lord. The crispy wafer hippos are filled with hazelnut cream and halfway dipped in merengue and crumbly pieces. I tested one last night to make sure it was o.k. for um… you know… Quality, or something. They are amazingly adorable and delicious. You probably need to grab a package of these from Eatsie Box’s online shop right now.
BONUS PRIZE!
Christmas Tree Rubber Ducky
So cute! I get the impression that Little G will have quite the collection of cute rubber duckies coming out of these Eatsie Boxes. This is the second Christmas-themed ducky we received but this one is adorned like a Christmas tree, which is totes adorbs. 😉
