January 2017 Glossybox Review
Glossybox is an online monthly beauty subscription box that sends you 5 or more travel size (and sometimes full size) beauty products each month from well known luxury brands and up-and-coming niche brands. You get to try out the best brands and new makeup products for a fraction of the full size cost. They also send the best hair products and skin care products for women.
You can subscribe to Glossybox for $21 each month with free shipping within the USA and receive your five great beauty products to enjoy. They also have a 6 month plan (same price as the monthly plan) and a 12 month plan. The 12 month plan brings the cost down to $18.50 per month.
The Homespun Chics paid for this subscription box. All opinions are 100% our own. This post contains affiliate links.
First peek into the January 2017 Glossybox! It contained 3 skin care products, 1 hair care product, and one cosmetic.
Glossybox provides a monthly fold-out product information card that includes pictures, suggestions for use, and pricing. They don’t curate to a titled monthly theme like some of the other subscription boxes. You don’t know what you will receive until the box arrives unless you see some spoilers on their website but the value is always there.
AG Hair Care – Cleansing Cream Foam-Free Hair Wash 2 oz sample size ($3)
This is a foam-free hair wash that takes the place of your shampoo and conditioner. The cream is made with seaberry oil for anti-aging and also contains seaweed extracts. It has a minty scent and is good for dry or brittle hair.
La Theorie Des Volcans – Noir Eternae Youth Potion, Face Scrub 1 oz Full Size ($32)
This is a creamy daily cleanser or you can use it as a 2 minute purifying scrub mask. It is made with a volcanic paste containing very fine exfoliating particles to make your face feel really clean. This little 1 oz size is a full size tube! Look at the price!!
Daily Concepts – Exfoliating Body Scrubber ($10)
Here is a scrubber with dual textured sides so you can do your face with one side and your feet with another. And the label has an indicator that fades when it’s time to change out your scrubber – very handy!
oOlution – Eye Love .5 oz ?Full Size ($37)
This is an eye contour cream that is 100% natural with more than 65 organic botanical active ingredients. It was developed to diminish dark circles and bags under the eyes, minimizing signs of fatigue in the eye contour area. Not sure if this is full size or sample size.
Universal Beauty Cosmetics – Secret Flush .15 oz Full Size ($20)
This is a cream blush and lip stain all in one tube – a pretty shimmery pink color with a great fruity scent. It blends easily and brightens up a wintery pale face!
The retail value of the beauty products in the January 2017 Glossybox came to $102. I was surprised that several tiny containers that looked like sample size turned out to be full size items, but we ended up with 4 full size and 1 sample size beauty products. Turned out to be a really nice box this month.
What did you think?
I’ve read your past Glossybox reviews and I’m really impressed by this subscription box company. Each month’s box has contained products that I liked and would use.

These products look great! There’s a lot in that box!
What a great idea for a subscription box! I would love it if I could afford it.
