Valentine’s February 2016 Eatsie Box!
I purchased the Special Edition Valentine’s Eatsie Box this month and couldn’t wait to see all the Valentine’s-themed treats inside! I got all giddy when the box arrived and had to fight off my toddler from grabbing everything while I was taking pictures!
The Cost: $23.00 per month
Box plans are available as recurring monthly, (NEW!) 3-month, 6-month, and 12-month subscriptions.
DISCOUNT COUPONS
EATSIECHICS – Save 50% off your first box of a monthly subscription!
EATSIECHICS6 – Save $35 off a six-month subscription!
EATSIECHICS12 – Save $75 off a 12-month subscription!
Here’s where to go: After adding the box to your cart, go to My Account in the main menu header and then select Update Preferences from the right-hand side. A pop-up window appeared and offered me a list of several amazing options to choose from. (See picture above.) I made my selections and saved my preferences.
At Checkout, you’ll enter your desired ship week. (This is also where you should enter your coupon code: EATSIECHICS, EATSIECHICS6, or EATSIECHICS12 to save $$ on your subscription!)
The Special Edition Valentine boxes are still customizable, but also contain cute Valentine-themed items. Subscriptions are offered as recurring monthly, 3-month, 6-month, and 12-month subscriptions and are still available on the website as of this post!! If you order a multi-month subscription, only the first box will be Valentine-themed! Every box sent after the initial Valentine box will also have a cute card with the sender’s and receiver’s names filled out, so the receiver won’t forget who’s sending the treats!
2/11/16 UPDATE: Valentine boxes have now been removed from the store. Eatsie Box wanted to make sure everyone who ordered the Special Edition box would receive it by Valentine’s Day! 🙂
This month’s box came with red tissue paper and the cute Valentine’s card letting the receiver know who sent the box! This is such a great personal touch!!
Valentine Fortune Teller Game – Value: $0.10
First thing I pulled out was this little paper fortune teller! This takes me back… way, waay back to when I was probably 10 years old and obsessed with these things. I love that this one is already pre-printed! I did fold it and tried to share it with Little G but failed to take a picture before he completely annihilated it. What ever, it was a good 45 seconds. Worth it.
Sparkle Heart Head Bopper – Value: $4.30
What a cute little headband! It’s a shame that Little G abhors putting anything on his head. I wish he would be willing to try this on though; it would be perfect for his Valentine’s party at school! I may bring it on Friday anyway to let his classmates play with it!
Endangered Species 88% Cocoa Dark Chocolate Bar (3 oz) – Value: $2.60
Yay! Normally I would be bummed to receive the same treat two months in a row, but since I gave the last one to my mom… and she’s off on a luxurious cruise at the moment… this baby is all mine!
Doggy Delirious Apple Cinnamon Bones (1.5 oz) – Value: $1.89
Doggy Delirious treats are made in Seattle, WA with human grade ingredients from sustainable supplies and are always sourced locally. (Awesome!) This package contains four dog bone cookies which is the perfect sized Valentine’s treat for Beeba!
Special Edition Valentine Cherry Tootsie Roll Pops (4 count) – Value: $1.76
Each Tootsie Roll Pop has a sweet little Valentine’s message written on the wrapper and is decorated with cute, tiny hearts! I really like the cherry flavor too!
Bali’s Best Coffee Candy (42 pieces) – Value: $5.35
Holy Coffee. Thank you forever, Eatsie Box!! These all natural hard candies are made with Arabica coffee and taste uh-mazing. I don’t typically eat a lot of candy but I can see these as being the perfect pick-me-up at work!
Such a cute little cupcake box!
Look! Sweet treats!
Naturally Nutfull Truffles (Red Velvet, Hazelnut, Almond) – Value: $0.87
These premium, all natural European chocolate truffles are made with certified sustainable farmed cocoa. I really wanted to gobble these up immediately but there are three truffles… and there are three people in my family. *sigh* I will wait until Valentine’s Day to enjoy these with Jonathan and Little G like a good girl.
McVitie’s Dark Chocolate Digestives (10.5 oz) – Value: $5.94
These are SO delicious with coffee. The biscuits are incredibly dense though, so watch yourself! I really love trying all the imported yumminess from Eatsie Box and try to learn some history about the products. Here’s a tidbit about McVitie’s!
McVitie & Price’s first major biscuit was the McVitie’s Digestive, the first ever digestive biscuit, created by young new employee Alexander Grant in 1892. The biscuit was given its name because it was thought that its high baking soda content served as an aid to food digestion.
The McVitie’s Chocolate Homewheat Digestive was created in 1925. Over 71 million packets of McVitie’s chocolate digestives are eaten in the United Kingdom each year, giving an average of 52 biscuits per second.
Strawberry Marshmallow Fluff (7.5 oz) – Value: $3.75
It just occurred to me as I’m writing this that strawberry fluff would probably be doubly delicious when used as a dip for the McVitie’s Dark Chocolate Digestives! I mean, who doesn’t love Fluff? Jonathan saw this jar and flipped out with excitement. There are recommendations listed on the jar, such as spreading it directly on your breakfast breads, using it as an ice cream topping, and even making a party dip combining the strawberry fluff with cream cheese. OMG.
Plush Penguin with Heart – Value: $1.33
Look at that little guy! This is super adorable and I love him. He has a place on my desk at work because my cats would disappear with him in a heartbeat here in the house. My boss probably thinks I’m nuts at this point. I have so many trinkets and doodads on my desk, but they make me happy and brighten up my workspace so THERE!
Valentine Rubber Ducky – Value: $0.54
And our monthly rubber ducky is looking quite dapper with his bowtie and adorable “Be Mine” heart. Little G is loving his rubber ducky collection!
My Thoughts
February 2016 Eatsie Box Total Value: $28.43
This has been my favorite Eatsie Box so far! I felt the contents of the entire box fit the Valentine’s theme and I will either gift or eat absolutely everything I received! I could be mistaken, but I believe this is the first Holiday Special Edition Eatsie Box ever released. I am impressed with the amount of variety and product sourcing that is done for each individually curated box. I was able to find pricing on everything easily and think the total value is great for a Valentine’s box! I don’t know any lady or gent that wouldn’t be floored by this subscription!
The only thing I am still lacking is a package of kitty treats! I just checked to make sure I selected the “cat treats” option in my Account Preferences. My six cats are currently staring at my Eatsie Box sitting next to me as I type… this is getting awkward. Perhaps next month, kitty cats!
Want your own Eatsie Box? (I don’t blame you!)
