Easy Cinnamon Stick Christmas Tree Ornaments 

Are you looking for an easy and inexpensive holiday craft to personalize gifts or to dress up your tree? These cinnamon stick tree ornaments are cute and take just a short time to complete. The idea and directions came from Crafts Unleashed, where there are quite a few craft ideas for those of us who are creatively challenged and need some inspiration!

You will need:

• Cinnamon Sticks – mine were about 6 inches long but you can use what you have and adapt your branches to the correct proportions.
• Pine garland – I used artificial pine garland cut from a wreath
• Twine or hemp cord
• Buttons
• Glue gun
• Wire cutters
• Ruler, scissors
• Glitter, sequins, or other shiny enhancements if desired

Plug in your glue gun.

Cut your pine pieces with the wire cutters in graduating lengths to fit the size of your cinnamon sticks. I chose to cut mine into 2″, 3″, and 4″ lengths.

Measure/cut your twine into the size you want – add a few inches for the knot.  Knot your twine pieces and set aside.

Glue your pine pieces onto your cinnamon stick with the shortest on top and the longest on the bottom.

Glue your twine pieces on the top rear of your little tree.

Then glue your buttons where you want them. Don’t forget to put a large button or a star button on the top of your tree!

That’s it! So quick and easy! Now – if you want to take them a bit further – you can jazz them up a bit with glitter, sequins, pom poms, or whatever you have on hand.

I chose to use a bit of gold glitter glue on my little trees.

That’s all there is to making these little cinnamon stick trees! If I can do it, so can you!
