January 2016 Dottiebox Mini
I love the Dottiebox Mini! It’s the perfect size box to open and enjoy each month without worrying about spending too much money in doing so! I couldn’t wait to see what handmade products and shops would be featured in the first box of 2016.
First peek into the box and I already spot a brown paper package tied up with string! (The little girl inside me is still humming the song from The Sound of Music.)
The tiny information card lists the box contents, prices, and company/shop information.
Gracious Bee Greetings Mini Calendar (Good Eats) – Value: $7.00
I love everything about this little calendar, even beyond the cute packaging! I have more planners and calendars than I probably need, but I can always use a mini calendar on my desk for quick reference.
The monthly calendar pages are printed on cardstock the size of business cards and fit into a CD-style acrylic case that folds back and makes a stand!
I received the “Good Eats” version, which has a different adorable dessert featured for each month. I don’t understand why, but the text for October is printed upside down! (Is this intentional?) Either way, I am excited to bring this into work with me on Monday!
Flutterfly Scrubs 0.5 oz. Lip Scrub (Green Apple) – Value: $6.00
I am convinced that I am completely oblivious to most beauty products out there. I have never heard of a lip scrub before and had to look it up on the internet to figure out what I’m supposed to be doing with this pot of bright green candy stuff! I asked Jonathan if he thought it was edible and he just looked at me and said, “It’s got to be edible if it goes on your lips.” …So I made him try it out first. I think he dropped most of it on his shirt though and barely used it as a scrub before eating it. Either way, he said it tasted really good!
Paper Sonata Origami Love Note – Value: $3.00
Yay! I was stoked to see origami in this month’s box! I have loved origami since I was a child and still have boxes of gorgeous paper to play with (in my spare time). This heart-shaped love note is SUCH a cute idea and I couldn’t bear to wait until February to work on it!
I cannot wait to give this to Jonathan next month!!
The box also included a 25% off coupon to artgoodies.com! I found the coolest succulent plant greeting card available through the website for $4.00, so I’m thinking about ordering a few to keep in inventory!
My Thoughts
January 2016 Dottiebox Mini Total Value: $16.00
I am so impressed by Dottiebox Mini’s curation and am so glad I gave this box a try! This month’s box really worked for me. I loved the calendar and the origami heart and I’m eager to try out the lip scrub for myself (rather than just take Jonathan’s word for it)!
The box itself is an awesome value, considering there’s no way I’d be able to order these products from multiple Etsy shops and have them all shipped separately to my house for only $13.00. Dottiebox Mini is one of my favorite subscription boxes that I receive and I’m looking forward to seeing what February brings!

This is a very cute Dottiebox with a lot of fun items to use and I like the calendar and the Green Apple Lip Scrub!! Not expensive price for all these items.
Now that’s a subscription I could afford and have lots of fun with. I do know what a lip scrub is, but haven’t used one.
