First peek! Look at that adorable puppy!
This review is for the “Popular Pooch” box. My December 2016 Pooch Perks box contained 2 bags of treats and two toys. When I signed up for the box I let them know that my dogs were heavy chewers and that Rocket has a chicken allergy, so I was very pleased to see that the toys were appropriate and that both bags of treats contained no chicken. A very good start! There was no product information card but we did receive a note from the owner and her pack.
Cloud Star – Soft & Chewy Treats for Dogs 5 oz Gingerbread Flavor ($5.95)
These treats are gingerbread man shaped soft cookies that contain maple syrup and natural gingerbread flavor.
Exclusively Dog Cookies – Vanilla Flavor Wafer Cookies Dog Treats 8 oz ($4.53)
These are regular cookie-sized crunchy treats made with all natural, human-grade ingredients.
Jolly Pets – Penguin Flat Head Tug/Squeak Toy Medium ($7.57)
This is a 10″ toy made of heavy “ballistic nylon” crinkle fabric with the center part braided so you can use it as a tug toy. The stretchy weaved body helps floss and clean teeth and there is no stuffing for Rocket to remove.
Multipet – Doglucent Santa Dog Toy 4″ (?6.95)
This toy was the hit of the box! Santa shaped, translucent heavy rubber with a squeaker and you can use it as a throw toy or your dog can just chew it and enjoy the squeak. My boys played with it for a whole day before the squeaker came loose and was rattling around inside the toy. We removed the squeaker for safety but they don’t care – they are still enjoying it.
The value of my December 2016 Pooch Perks “Popular Pooch” box came to only $25, not the $35 as advertised. I might have been off a bit on the Santa toy (could not find it online) but not by that much. But on the plus side, the boys have been on high alert ever since the box hit the front door. How do they know?? Rocket picked it out of the pile of boxes and guarded it until I took over. Cookies and toys are a big part of their day so this is like an early Christmas!
I love box subscriptions. We do two already. I think the pet box is a great idea for pet owners.
Oooh what a cute box!! Loving the “sweet” theme for the treats!! As us adults like to indulge around this time too 😉 That penguin is adorable!!
