Crockpot Salisbury Steak
Crockpot Salisbury Steak
This recipe is a family favorite and one of the ultimate comfort foods. I think of it as loaded hamburgers with gravy that can be prepared ahead of time. Salisbury steaks are easy to cook up in a covered pan on the stovetop, but I’ll choose crockpot over stovetop any time. You can jazz up the patties by adding chopped green peppers to the mix. If I’m busy I like to toss in a can of green beans on top or add chopped carrots to cook alongside the onions on the bottom of the pot. Dinner is served!
These Salisbury Steaks are ready in 5 hours. Your house smells divine for most of the afternoon! Serve them over mashed potatoes, rice, noodles or even grits.
