BeautyFix is a monthly subscription box from Dermstore and runs $24.95/month (or $34.95 for a one-time purchase). It contains a mix of deluxe samples and full size beauty products at a value of at least $100. An elite team of beauty professionals selects the contents of each box. This was my first BeautyFix box and I liked the mix of hair, skin and make up products they chose. This box also has a product information sheet included and I appreciate the care that goes into that little touch in a subscription box.

 

 

 

Harry Josh Pro Tools Mini Oval Brush ($25)

This is a smaller version of this company’s oval brush. It has a mix of nylon and boar bristles and a comfort cushion pad that adjust to the contours of your head. The wooden handle is ergonomically designed and the flared bristle pattern helps to shape and style your hair. This is not a tiny little brush. At 7 inches long it seems small enough to fit into my purse and large enough to be of some use with my often messy hair.

Toppic Hair Fattener Advanced Thickening Serum 1 oz sample size ($17.95 for 3.4 oz)

This is a spray in serum to revitalize weak, limp and fine hair. It has Keratin to nourish and create a barrier to repair and minimize further environmental damage and Vitamin E to help your hair shine.

Bliss Foot Patrol AHA Exfoliating & Softening Cream 2.5 oz Full Size ($18)

This is an Aloe Leaf & Peppermint daily use exfoliating moisturizer. It smells great and makes your skin noticeably soft and silky after a single coating.

Lalicious Weightless Hand Cream in Sugar Reef .23 oz sample size ($18 for 3 oz)

A blend of mango butter and milk thistle make this luxurious but lightweight cream able to soften and moisturize your winter hands. Smells good, too! An invigorating blend of white tea, melon and ginger.

Dermalogica Age Smart Skinperfect Primer SPF 30 .24 oz sample size ($49 for .75 oz)

Yikes! This is some expensive stuff!! You can wear this primer over your moisturizer as a stand-alone complexion enhancer for smoothness and luminosity or before your foundation to fill fine lines and help your make-up last longer. It has a neutral tint to balance your skin tone. I have always wanted to try a primer and I just might get really spoiled using one as tony as this!

2 Skyn Iceland Hydro Cool Firming Face Gels for Smile Lines sample size ($35 for 8)

These face gels have extension and peptides to erase expression lines for up to 24 hours in just 10 minutes. They infuse the skin with moisture, relax facial muscle contractions  and enhance the skin’s natural renewal system to firm and tone. Interesting. I have to admit to being a bit of a skeptic here but I’m not afraid to give these a try!

Vichy Liftactiv Serum 10 Youth Enhancing Serum .1 oz sample size ($36 for 1 oz)

This is an anti-aging serum (boy do they have MY number!) that provides firmer, smoother skin in just 10 minutes.  Little tiny sample, so I don’t know if I will be able to tell if it works.

Vbeute Lip Spread Anti-age Hydrating Lip Gloss in Kinky .34 oz Full Size ($19)

This is a fragrance-free lip gloss with anti-aging benefits. The color is a reddish pink. It adds volume and delivers high-impact color with a soft finish.

Glo-minerals Suede Matte Stick in Pinup Full Size ($16)

This is a creamy, long lasting lipstick in a “bold, matte siren-y red” shade. It slides on easily and has a moisturizing feel, has great reviews.

Well, this box had a lot of high quality beauty supplies for $24.95! The full size products alone came to $78 and if you do the math and add in the samples, I have no doubt that this box came to at least $100. And they pretty much were right on with the items they chose for me as a woman no longer in the blush of youth. I probably won’t use the red lipstick unless we go to a holiday party but most everything else is great! I have read mixed reviews on this subscription box but I have to say that I am quite happy with mine and feel that the value is certainly there. And I have spoken to this company on the phone and the lady on the other end was quite pleasant and helpful. So thumbs up!!
