What is The Baby Sleep Site?
Since we started in 2008, The Baby Sleep Site® has grown to become the web’s leading resource for exhausted parents of sleepless babies and toddlers. We offer a variety of both free and paid sleep coaching help, making our site an ideal resource for parents from all walks of life, and from all over the world. We believe that each family and child is unique and there is no one-size fits all approach when teaching a child healthy sleep habits.
In a nutshell…
The Baby Sleep Site is THE place to go for help getting a good night’s sleep, every night — for both children AND their parents. The website is easy to navigate and includes resources for almost every type of learning style (visual, verbal, logical, social, and solitary).
The Baby Sleep Site offers printed materials, e-books, recorded seminars, live chats, personalized baby and toddler sleep coaching. There is even an option to have their experts create a Personalized Sleep Plan™ that is fully customized to help your baby or toddler become a good night’s sleeper and give you back your confidence.
ACCOLADES
Being 100% honest, I am not the type of parent that typically seeks out books and online resources to help me through my parenting challenges. I prefer learning and adapting my parenting style based on my own experiences.
Sometimes things go smoothly and I pat myself on the back for a job well done, while other times I find myself internally screaming for help!!
After struggling for an entire year gradually weening Little G off his pacifier, Jonathan and I finally said, “Enough is enough!” and decided the best way for us was to cut him off cold-turkey. We tossed out his remaining two binkies while Little G was at preschool one day.
We had a few tough days (and nights) adapting to life without his binky but now Little G has learned to pacify himself without his binky around. Our next big step is to get Little G comfortable sleeping in his big boy bed upstairs instead of with us in our bed.
Yes, my 3-year old son still sleeps in our bed!
The internet is a funny place where you can find anything you want to support or oppose how you choose to parent your child (or do anything, really)…
In doing a quick search online, I “learned” that it’s healthier for children to co-sleep up until they’re five or six years old to promote trust and bonding with parents. Also, that it’s important to give children their own sense of space and independence by eliminating co-sleeping before they turn a year old. I received eternal praise for the care and protection I’ve given my son by co-sleeping and also horrible condescension for recklessly co-sleeping with my half-grown child.
I was already exhausted from not getting a good night’s sleep (ever) and after that search, I was completely confused and kind of peeved!!
Fortunately, my luck changed once I discovered The Baby Sleep Site and I began my journey into a better night’s sleep for our whole family. The website is incredibly informative without being judgmental and there are heaps of resources available for practically every sleep issue that can be encountered with a baby or toddler!
The Baby Sleep Site® Members Area
The Members Area is the only membership web site created specifically for parents to help their children sleep better. It’s also the only program that offers such a wide range of options for parents anywhere on the sleep solution journey. After all, no one knows better than we do that the path to better sleep is rarely a straight, flat line. There are twists, turns, hills, forks in the road, and even an occasional booby trap!
It doesn’t matter if you’re exploring sleep schedules for the first time, or if you’re simply looking for resources to support an existing sleep plan. We provide the guidance you need to reach your day and nighttime sleep goals – no matter how long it takes to get there.
For first-time parents or those struggling with sleep patterns and habits in a second, third, or even fourth child, we offer resources to:
- Learn more about the nature of sleep,
- Break undesirable sleep associations,
- Enhance nap quality, or
- Start stabilizing your child’s energy levels throughout the day, through the use of your unlimited access to e-Book content and members-only articles.
The Baby Sleep Site reminded me that every family’s situation is unique — and that it is completely okay.
I joined the Members Area for one month ($27.00). There are crazy good discounts for longer membership periods too! My main priority was to gain access to all of the e-books, case studies, articles, and even recorded tele-seminars that are made available to members. These are perfect tools for my solitary learning style where I can research to my heart’s content without feeling pressure to ask the right questions in a group or contribute to conversation where I feel clueless.
For those of you who are social learners, the Members Area also has weekly LIVE CHATS with an expert sleep consultant as well as members-only chat rooms that are open 24/7. The Expert Chats were only available during my work hours (typically between 10am and 1pm EST), so I was unable to participate during my month’s access.
During my exploration of the Members Area, I found a case study from 2015 that dealt with transitioning a younger toddler from co-sleeping with her parents into the child’s own crib. This case study was taken from a family’s sleep consulting experience with The Baby Sleep Site®. It was very enlightening and offered step-by-step guidance to achieving this couple’s end goal.
Another great benefit of becoming a Member is receiving 20% off all personalized sleep consulting services at The Baby Sleep Site.
After reading this case study, I would highly recommend these services to anyone needing personalized guidance.

I printed out the case study for reference as we work toward getting Little G situated in his own room. So far, I am able to put him to sleep in our bed with minimal cuddling and interference. I still lie down with him, but do my best to leave him be while he gets comfortable and eventually falls asleep on his own. 🙂 Progress is being made!!
The Baby Sleep Site also has e-Books available for FREE to download and keep (for those late-night reading sessions).
I was so excited to access all of the free e-Books that are available on the site! I downloaded two so far, and may download more if I get through the ones I already have. I love that you are able to download the e-Books directly to your computer, Kindle, Nook, or iPad!
The last thing I accomplished during my month on The Baby Sleep Site is building a custom schedule for Little G that was structured by his age and wake-up time. I must say this is pretty darn close to what we already do on weekdays, which is a relief. Jonathan and I both work full-time and then I pick up Little G from his all-day preschool. We typically all arrive home after 6pm, have a later dinner between 7 and 8pm, and then begin the nighttime routine.
Little G’s bedtime really is 9:00PM, sometimes even 9:30.
No judging! We do the very best we can with our schedules. I wouldn’t dream of missing out on family time in the evening just to get Little G in bed by 8pm. We compensate by having a later wake-up time so he can get all of his happy Zzz’s in before getting ready for school.
Final Thoughts
The Baby Sleep Site has an INCREDIBLE variety of resources available in their Members Area. Being sleep-deprived with a kicking, head-butting toddler in my bed is not ideal and I am excited to finally have an action plan that makes sense to me. I hope to achieve our goals of getting Little G into his own bed using the tools I gained on The Baby Sleep Site. I felt completely comfortable exploring all of the different areas on the website and was comforted in knowing I wasn’t alone with my particular goal. I still have not taken advantage of everything offered in the Members Area, even after spending an entire month on the site! This place is awesome and I’m sure I will return.
