Uncorked Box is a new monthly subscription box for people who love wine. It is “curated with unique, fun and useful wine related products delivered to you every month!” Subscription boxes ship between the 5th & 8th of each month to US addresses only. Shipping is free but you might have to pay in-state taxes. You can cancel your subscription at any time.
They have 3 subscription plans:
- Month to month, billed on the 1st of each month: $30
- 6 month prepay (10% off): $162
- 12 month prepay (20% off): $288
Uncorked Box does not sell wine but you can expect 4-7 handpicked “cool and unique” wine related items in each monthly box.
Looking for a gift for a friend – or for yourself? Uncorked will also be having Limited Edition boxes during each year that are one-time purchases (though you can purchase as many as you like!!), not part of the subscription plan. The Champagne Gift Box is available now for $45.

So – a box about wine stuff! They’re playing my song, as the saying goes! The inaugural Uncorked Box went out in July, so this is their second box. I was excited to find out what delights the August 2016 Uncorked Box had tucked away underneath the pretty grape colored tissue paper!
“The August Uncorked Box is inspired by The Beach.”
The Uncorked Box includes a helpful product information card. Thank you!!
Wine2Go – Foldable Wine Bottle ($8.49)
This is a flask-shaped container that holds a full bottle of wine. It is flexible, foldable and BPA free, so you can fill it up and stuff it in your purse, backpack, picnic basket – wherever, without worrying about broken glass. When it’s empty you can just roll it up and take it home. Plus, you can use it for drinks that are not wine, like iced tea or just some nice cold water on a hot day! I just love this concept! We have tons of water bottles, but when they are empty you are still lugging around a water bottle.
Wine-A-Rita Strawberry Mango Frozen Drink Mix 6 oz ($13.05)
This was such a sweet and tasty after dinner drink with easy to follow directions. All you needed to add was wine and ice! Additionally you can prepare it with rum or vodka or you make it non-alcoholic by just using ginger ale.
We chose white wine, of course!
The all natural mix contains strawberries, mangos and no additives!
Put the wine in the blender, add the Wine-A-Rita mix and press the button…
Mmmm! Pretty already – but you still need to add the ice…
Just look at these!! Strawberry Mango Wine Slushees!! We LOVED them!!
Primitives by Kathy – Sun and Sand Tea Towel ($8.65)
“The Sun and The Sand and A Drink In My Hand” Love, love this 15 X 24″ tea towel! It is 70% cotton and 30% polyester so it won’t shrink up to a wash cloth size in the laundry.
Charles Viancin – Coral & Shell Drink Cover ($7.99)
Have you ever used the pretty silicon bowl/casserole covers that are out in the stores now? I have several and find them indispensable. They keep that plastic wrap out of my kitchen! This little lid is the same thing but is small enough to cover your drink (or a custard cup). It seals tightly on all smooth rims, and the silicon is dishwasher safe, freezer safe, microwave safe and oven safe up to 428 degrees – not that you would bake your wine, but this little guy has MULTIPLE uses in your kitchen.
But I digress… Back to wine!
Summer is the time to sit outside in the evening and have a glass of wine on the back deck. Here in the mountains we have lovely cool evening breezes, fireflies and lots of birds. We also have gnats, bees, and lots of other annoying small critters who are determined to enjoy our wine with us. But not with our new drink covers. The wine stays cool and pest free!
Look deVine with benefits from wine – Sangria lip balm ($4)
I wish you could smell this delicious lip balm! It has grapeseed oil and red wine antioxidants in the ingredients, plus a broad spectrum SPF 15 sunscreen to protect your soft and supple lips. It is a natural lip shade and smells great!
Milk Chocolate Brix Bite
Lastly but not least(ly), we have a bite size piece of Brix Bites “Chocolate for Wine” milk chocolate. It got a little melted in the summer heat but still tastes delicious!
The price of the items curated for the August 2016 Uncorked Box came to roughly $42. That is a good value for the $30 month to month cost of the box and an even better value for the 6 and 12 month pre-paid boxes! I was pleased to see that it was truly not just “wine stoppers, napkins, and coasters” at all – Uncorked Box founder Amanda has the ability to think outside the (wine)box and find some fun and tasty wine-related treasures to share! What did you think of the new Uncorked Box?
