August 2016 Target Beauty Box Review
Target offers a really popular, inexpensive beauty box each month and it always sells out quickly. This box is a one-time purchase, not a monthly subscription box. It sells for $7.00. This month they charged $4 shipping in addition to the box cost. I don’t know if this was a glitch in their system or a new permanent charge. I included a few other household items in my order so I would qualify for free shipping, plus I used the coupon code from one of the July boxes for $3 off.
The Homespun Chics paid for this subscription box. All opinions are 100% our own. This post contains affiliate links.
The August 2016 Target Beauty Box had a helpful product description card with a description of each item selected for the box. Attached to the product description card was another very useful coupon for $3 off a $15 beauty purchase!

Crest 3D White Whitestrips in Glamorous White, 2 strips sample pack
This is a dental whitening treatment that is easy to use and is done in 30 minutes. I’ve never used these but I might give them a try!
The August Target Beauty Box was a really good value. The total cost of the 8 items (+ the whitestrips) added up to roughly $25.34. Most of the products were basic beauty/skin care things that we all use and purchase frequently. Plus we got to try out a few new special beauty products that we might not have purchased without using a sample size first to see if we like them. Did you get the August Target Beauty Box?
So they didn’t charge shipping for the July box? How odd that they would this time. Certainly something to inquire about. I don’t typically shop at Target but that’s a good deal and I might look into it further.
IM pretty sad to see Target charging shipping for these boxes!! silly move on their part in my opinion since the Walmart box is $5 with no additional charges. Side note, if you pay with your target card do you get free shipping like always??
It might have been a computer glitch. My Subscription Addiction did not mention a shipping charge when they did their review and I think if this was such a huge change it would be all over the review sites. I don’t have a Target card so I don’t know about that, but I always need household stuff so I just ordered enough extras to get the free shipping.
Wow. I had no idea there was a Target or Walmart beauty box. Do you have to have a subscription? Or are they one time purchases? Thanks for this information. This is an inexpensive way to make sure you are taking good care of yourself (which I am working on lately).
The Walmart box is a subscription box. It only comes out 4 times each year and the cost is $5. The Target box is a monthly box but each box is a one time purchase. It always comes out the first Monday of the month. And you have to be quick to get one. The Target box is by far the better box.
That’s a bunch of really useful things.
This is very useful
I like this concept. Target does a great job of giving you a variety of beauty products from different brands. Useful items, too. My daughter would love to try that mascara.
