“When I was a pup I had one toy and it was a stick”
The theme for the August 2016 Pet Treater Box was “Best in Show.” My boys are both rescues so they have no pedigrees, but they are Best in Show at my house! Just ask them – they will gladly tell you so!
Juicy Crittoure For the Decadent Dog – Shampoo 8 oz, Moisturizing Conditioner 8 oz, & Dog Brush ($55)
This is a lovely box packaged with a bottle of “Shampooch,” a bottle of “Coif Fur Mosturizing Conditioner” (I didn’t misspell that!), and a soft bristle brush. The price tag on the box is $55 and the prices online are all over the map so I really can’t vouch for the value. However, what price would you put on a nice clean, good smelling dog in the house?!
Adjustable Dog Bow Tie Pet Collar ($2)?
And after you get your pup all sparkly clean and brushed out, you can dress him up with this cute little black bow tie! It was a bit small for both of my dogs (though it fit around their necks) and Rocket’s neck ruff fur was so long that it totally covered up the bow tie, but this would be sweet on a small short-haired breed. Or on a cat, if he would let you do it! The neck strap is adjustable, too.
Stuff On My Mutt: The Book by Mario Garza ($12.95)
Did you think a doggie bow tie is just too conventional? Get lots of ideas with this softcover 160-page photo book of dogs wearing outfits or with all kinds of different props. It would make a cute gift for a dog lover or in an office waiting room for people to browse through.
Dingo Market Cuts – Chicken and Sweet Potato Wraps 11.8 oz ($12.99)
This is a good sized bag of American Made dog treats made with high quality USA sourced ingredients – only slices of sweet potato and real chicken. You won’t be feeding your dog any wheat, gluten, by-products, artificial flavors or colors. Each treat is a nice bite size for a medium dog and the bag is resealable.
Evri – H2O-2-Go Portable Water Bowl ($3.50)
This is a foldable, waterproof water bowl for your dog that wraps around most water bottles and closes with a Velcro strap for easy carrying. Plus it has a metal carabiner so you can hook it to your belt, backpack or wherever. It measures approx. 6 ½ inches in diameter and is 3 inches deep.
Grriggles Unstuffies Big Squeak Alligator, small ($8.99)
Tired of giving your dog a stuffed toy only to have to clean up the stuffing after he guts it to get at that squeaker? This is a stuffing-free dog toy that has a puncture-resistant squeaker in each of its 3 sections. The alligator’s long, skinny shape is great for tugging play.
Multipet Nuts for Knots Rope/Rubber Ball Dog Toy, 3-Inch ($9.63)
This is a ball-shaped toy that is interwoven rope and rubber. My guys would have the rope part eaten out of it in just 5 minutes, but dogs that aren’t such aggressive chewers would enjoy this longer and it would be a great toy for fetching.
Smart N Tasty Chicky Twizzies Chews Treat, 6 inch ($3.50)
This is a dog treat made with real chicken, sourced and made in the USA using all natural ingredients. These are 100% digestible, with no foul odor and no staining. Plus they are grain free, gluten free, dairy free, and soy free with no artificial ingredients, colors, or flavors.
Guardian Gear Insect Shield Paisley Bandana, Green ($9.38)
This is a 19” square green poly/cotton bandana treated with a permethrin formula to protect your dog from biting insects – mosquitoes, fleas, ticks, ants, chiggers, & midges. The tag says it can be used by the entire family. (Use your own judgement.) The odorless Insect Shield lasts up to 70 washings and they do suggest you wash it separately from your family’s laundry.
Rocket does look pretty spiffy in his new bandana!
The August 2016 Pet Treater box was just chock-full of goodies, both tasty for dogs and fun for both species! I could not find definite prices on a few items as some were truly all over the place depending on the seller, but you can tell by the quantity and quality of the dog-related products in the box that the value is certainly there for the price paid! And their curation fit the theme extremely well! Looking forward to September, when the Pet Treater theme will be “Ain’t Nothin’ But a Hound Dog”!!
Don’t forget, if you want to grab a FREE pet bed with your first month, click this link and enter the coupon PT-BED at check-out! Omgosh that bow tie!! Im just dying over the cuteness!!!
Pets need treats, too. What a very distinguished bow tie. My son’s dog would look great in it.
So cute. Seems like a good deal.
What an amazing box! I love that there are subscriptions for everyone, including pets! Your pup sure does look happy 🙂
I’m most excited by the dog shampoo and conditioner. During the summer my little dog ‘s skin is very itchy and these items would help him greatly!
I just wish they had a pet treater box for cats.
