Atlas Tea Company sends ethically sourced fresh, vibrant, and tasty loose-leaf tea from around the world. They “zig-zag across the globe to highlight tea and culture from a new country each month.” The Homespun Chics received a sampling of 3 different teas for our honest review. All opinions are 100% our own.
Malawi – Green Peach and Ginger
Green Peach and Ginger tea from Malawi is described as “a smooth green tea blend.” This tea contains green tea, dried ginger, hibiscus, apple, orange blossom, safflower, and natural peach aroma, giving it a lovely visual appearance. The scent was delicious and well balanced between the tea and the ginger. We found that this tea had a slightly artificial peachy taste with some bitter notes but that the ginger added a really nice spice. If you love peach tea you might just love this choice!
Burma – Golden Triangle Black
This was our favorite tea out of the three we received! It is an excellent smooth black tea smelling of bergamot and black tea and tasting similar to Earl Gray. We did not find any maple syrup or graham cracker notes, but your nose might be a bit more in tune to those.
Soothing Sage Herbal Tea
Soothing Sage Herbal Tea is a very refreshing caffeine-free blend of aniseed, chamomile, and sage. You can smell the licorice scent of the aniseed when you open the bag. All of the elements are present as you sip on this very clean-tasting blend. We found this tea to be naturally sweet with a slightly cooling sensation.
We reviewed the three teas that were sent to us by Atlas Tea Club and found each one to be unique and tasty in its own way. Our favorite was the Golden Triangle Black from Burma! A very positive finding was that, though our teas were chosen at random by Atlas Tea Club, all were very enjoyable. You have the option of defining your tea preferences when you subscribe, so if you are a loose tea lover you will surely be excited to experience the teas chosen specially for your tastes in your monthly package!
