April 2016 Popsugar Must Have Review
Popsugar Must Have is a monthly subscription box that sends you five to six full-sized products that are “the best in fashion, beauty, home and more” with a value of over $100. They curate high quality items that they feel are fun, authentic and positive. Cost of the monthly box is $39.99 and shipping is free. If you purchase a six month subscription for $214.70, it brings the price down to $35.78/month.
The Homespun Chics paid for this subscription box. All opinions are 100% our own. This post contains affiliate links.
The April 2016 Popsugar Must Have box includes a lovely glossy fold-out product information card that lets you know about the items chosen for your box. Plus it contains photos and a retail value of each product. So now let’s take a look at what we have for the month of April!
Chrissy Teigen’s Cravings: Recipes For All the Food You Want To Eat ($29.99)
This is a 240 page hardback cook book with full page color photos of really delicious foods! I think I might get some use out of it!
Canvas Home – Tinware Salt & Pepper Shakers ($12)
These are just lovely vintage country inspired hand glazed salt and pepper shakers in the time-honored blue and white that go perfectly in my kitchen! I was just so excited when I opened the box and discovered these little gems with their traditional cork stoppers on the bottoms! They are from Canvas Home’s bestselling Tinware collection.
Next By Nature – Dark Chocolate Covered Espresso Beans 3 oz ($3.99)
All natural, gluten free, totally addictive and not a high fructose corn syrup drop in sight – this was a bag of OMG that didn’t even make it until I had the box unpacked before it was opened! Trust me, they are just as good as they sound! I usually take photos of all the product before I open the packages but this one’s image is after a chocolate and espresso bean binge!
Farmacy – Sleep Tight Firming Night Balm 1.7 oz ($48)
This firming night balm has Echinacea GreenEnvy, a potent natural antioxidant. It is a lightweight, nice smelling balm that tranforms into a gentle oil-gel and replenishes your skin overnight. It helps firmness and tone, plus helps to restore elasticity and diminish fine lines and wrinkles.
Noon Design Shop – “Lemons” Flour Sack Tea Towel ($18)
This is a cute silk screened tea towel made of unbleached 100% cotton muslin. It has orangish yellow lemon slices as a design, is super soft and lint-free. Totally beautiful and totally useful – and I love when those two things come together!
Royal Apothic – Field Poppy Conservatories Hand Crème 3.3 oz ($24)
I have used Royal Apothic hand crèmes before and am a great fan, so finding a full size tube of their Field Poppy scent was a total score! Did you know that their recipes are from an antique apothecaries manual? That must be why their scents always take me back somewhere in the dreamy past… Field Poppy has notes of fig, tea, jasmine, lily, moss and leaf. That’s a whole meadow of scents!
Special Extra Bloom That $20 Gift Card ($20)
This is a $20 gift card to Bloom That, an online flower delivery service. It expires 6/30. Sounded good but I found the website difficult to decipher, no search ability and only about 4 options of bouquets available to order – even when I set my order calendar to a week after Mother’s Day. And nothing near $20, so this was (for me) a bust.
The April 2016 Popsugar Must Have box had a value of $135.98, much more than the cost of the box. With the Bloom That gift card you can make it $155.98, but since that card won’t buy anything it really is just an ad for the company, IMHO. Each item included was full size, no samples, and each item was also something I will keep and use. It is most difficult for a sub box to please everyone every month, but this one has been a winner for me every time, so far!
Wow, these subscription boxes are popping up everywhere! I love the concept, but can’t use 1/2 the items so I usually pass on them, but this fits me quite well.
Nice bunch of stuff in this month’s box. I agree that the $20 was purely a gimmick.
