April 2016 Glossybox Review
Glossybox is an online monthly beauty subscription box that sends you 5 travel size (and sometimes full size) beauty products each month from well known luxury brands and up-and-coming niche brands. You get to try out the best brands and new makeup products for a fraction of the full size cost. They also send the best hair products and skin care products for women. You can subscribe to Glossybox for $21 each month with free shipping within the USA and receive your five great beauty products to enjoy. They also have a 6 month plan (same price as the monthly plan) and a 12 month plan. The 12 month plan brings the cost down to $18.50 per month.
The Homespun Chics paid for this subscription box. All opinions are 100% our own. This post contains affiliate links.
The April 2016 Glossybox contained two cosmetic items, two skin care items and one hair care item. Their packaging is always beautiful and I save the ribbon that graces the tissue paper every month for my sewing projects. I appreciate their foldout product description/price card that lets me know just what they curated for the current month’s box. The card also gives you tips on using your new products. I love the attention to detail that this shows in a subscription box!
Unani – Dermo Defense Face Mask 3.4 oz Full Size ($18)
This is one of Unani’s sensitive skin line of facial care products. This gel mask provides protection, nutrition and hydration while it removes impurities. And it doesn’t tighten the skin like so many masks, just leaves it feeling clean and fresh.
Leighton Denny Expert Nails – Nail Polish in Pillow Talk .4 oz Full Size ($19)
This is a very pretty deep pink berry shade with a gloss finish. Perfect for spring!
Not Your Mother’s Haircare – Beach Babe Texturizing Sea Salt Spray 2 oz travel size ($3)
This spray for your hair is infused with Dead Sea salt and sea kelp to create texture and volume. Not sure I would like sea kelp in my hair but it is supposed to have vitamins to strengthen the hair shaft. It smells nicely beachy, too.
Studio 10 – Brow Lift Perfecting Liner Full Size ($20)
This is a double sided brow liner/highlighter. It has brown on one side and a peachy color on the other so you can define and highlight with one product.
Biossance – The Nourisher, Precious Rose Face Oil .14 oz sample size ($9.60)
This is one of my favorite items in the April 2016 Glossybox. I love the faint rose scent! It is a very light face oil that is so delicate it comes in a tiny dropper. Non-toxic and contains no mineral oil, this is for repairing and nourishing delicate facial skin with a dose of Vitamin C.
The April 2016 Glossybox contained 3 full size and 2 sample size products. The combined value of the items came in at a little over $69, another great value for the $21 cost of the box! With all these beauty products arriving at the house, I am going to be as tony as Mrs. Astor’s horse (according to my hubby!) Must have been some horse! Have you tried Glossybox?
How tony was Mrs. Aster’s horse? Never heard that phrase before. Good bunch of products.
The Unani – Dermo Defense Face Mask sounds nice. I also like the color of the Pillow Talk Nail polish.
