The April 2016 Eatsie Box arrived just in time as we were totally out of snacks around here! Once again the box contained an excellent assortment of munchies both sweet and salty. Plus the kitties received their own bag of treats this month! Eatsie Box does not include a product information card but they make up for it with a whole boxful of eats. So what did we get this month?
Be sure you have eaten all of your dinner before you read this review!

Prittle Pretzel Brittle 5 oz ($4.25)
This pretzel brittle is homemade in Pittsburg, PA, hand packaged and “made with love.” It is a great mix of sweet and salty.
Boom Chicka Pop – Sweet & Salty Kettle Corn 1 oz ($1.69)
Only 70 calories per cup and it “contains nothing but ingredients you’ll love.” I have had this kettle corn in the past and it is a totally delicious, addictive food. And healthy, too. The only ingredients are popcorn, sunflower oil, dried cane sugar and sea salt. So how can it taste SO wonderful??
Yan Yan – Chocolate Dip 2 oz ($1.09)
This was always one of my daughter’s favorite special treats when she was a child. It is crispy cracker sticks with smooth chocolate crème to dip them into. They are from China and I always bought them in the Korean food store when I stopped in for kimchee. And she is going to take this one away from me!
Dang Toasted Coconut Chips – Caramel Sea Salt 1.43 oz ($2.00)
This is a toasted coconut meat snack, product of Thailand. It is crunchy and sweet, non-GMO, gluten-free, dairy-free and only has 3 ingredients – coconut, coconut sugar and sea salt. Healthy eating at its best! The company’s founder named the snack after his mother (her name is Dang) as she was the first person to tell him to toast some coconut for a recipe she gave him and he was amazed at the taste. The rest is history, as they say!
Lovely Candy Co. – Super Fruit Chews 2 oz ($1.28)
These are blueberry, raspberry & cranberry chews made with real fruit, gluten and gmo-free. No high fructose corn syrup here – the main ingredient is brown rice syrup. Plus they have real fruit bits.
Barnana – Organic Peanut Butter Chewy Banana Bites 1.4 oz ($1.30)
These are “The Super Potassium Snack” made from upcycled bananas grown in Brazil and turned into a tasty and healthy snack in the USA. They are Kosher, non-GMO, & gluten free!
Peanut Butter & Co – Dark Chocolate Dreams 1.15 oz ($.50)
This is a peanut butter spread blended with dark chocolate, perfect with crackers, fruits or your spoon! And yet another snack with no high fructose corn syrup and all natural ingredients.
Heavenly Organics – Mint Chocolate Honey Patties 1.16 oz ($1.39)
Produced by a cooperative of hundreds of small organic family owned farms in India, these patties have only 3 ingredients – dark chocolate, raw white honey and peppermint oil. They are non-GMO, gluten-free, dairy-free and fair trade.
Oskri – Cranberry Dark Chocolate Fruit Bar 1.58 oz ($1.80)
This is a bar that contains cranberries, dates, apples & dark chocolate. It is gluten-free.
PureBites Cat Treats – Freeze Dried Turkey .49 oz ($3.19)
The kitties are going to love this! These cat treats are made with 100% USDA inspected turkey breast, freeze dried raw so they have the aroma, texture and freshness cats crave. They are sourced and made in the USA, something I always look for when I give my pets any foods or treats.
2 Fighter Glider toys ($2.00)
They included 2 fighter glider toys in the box this month, so Little G will be enjoying playing with these out in the yard this spring! These are the kind you assemble yourself and have been around forever – I can remember playing with the same kind of toy as a child.
I loved the variety in the April 2016 Eatsie Box and also that almost everything included was of the healthy snack variety. It is difficult to find prices for individual and sample size packages so some of the prices are estimates. That being stated, the value I calculated for this month’s box came to a little over $20, just about the cost of the box plus shipping. Not as pleasing as the February box, but fair and acceptable. The thing I like most about an Eatsie Box subscription is that it gives you an opportunity to try small, family owned company produced snacks that you might not find in your big box grocery store!
This would be an interesting box to get. Lots of goodies for everyone. Thanks like the review on this one.
Looks like a lot of yummy goodies!
