Aldi 2019 Moser Roth Nutcracker Advent Calendar
Aldi 2019 Moser Roth Nutcracker Advent Calendar
This year we braved the cold and actually stood in line for an hour out in front of our local Aldi so we could have a chance at buying some of Aldi’s elusive Advent calendars! It was kind of fun – the ladies in line with us were chatty and friendly, full of stories about previous lines they had stood in at Aldi and on past Black Fridays. Last year we arrived at Aldi an hour after they opened – silly us! – and most of the Advent calendars were long gone.
The Aldi 2019 Moser Roth Nutcracker Advent Calendar was Aldi’s premium chocolate calendar for this year. This calendar celebrates 24 days of Christmas with premium European hand made chocolates and fancy Belgian chocolate truffles.
“Set in the spirit of ‘The Nutcracker,’ one of the most magical holiday masterpieces of all time. Behind each Nutcracker’s door awaits a delicious treat with its own unique flavor enrobed in rich dark, milk or white chocolate and a special decor on top, most of them made by hand. Count the days until Christmas as the Sugar Plum Fairy dances through your head and indulge yourself with a little piece of luxury.”

At the low price of $8.99, the Aldi 2019 Moser Roth Nutcracker Advent Calendar was quite a bargain. These chocolates were as delicious as they looked and tasted like the Belgian chocolates we had eaten when actually in Belgium. I have paid several dollars apiece for chocolate truffles in brick & mortar specialty chocolate stores that were not as smooth and creamy as these. The price for each of these tasty chocolates was a mere 37 cents apiece! Were they worth standing in line on a cold November morning for? I’d have to say YES, absolutely!
Oh boy! This is a calendar that screams my name! Looks delish!
I want to run out right now and get one of these for myself!
I picked this one up for my son. I was actually surprised there were any left, all of the really good stuff sells out at our Aldi really fast.
We don’t have Aldis here in the PNW, but I’ve heard that it’s owned by the same people as Trader Joe’s. TJ’s has a really cute and popular advent calendar that has all little milk chocolate pieces. I got it last year and the quality of the chocolate wasn’t great, which surprised me. This one from Aldi’s looks SO SO much nicer and at such a great price!
Now this looks like something I would have loved to have. This is special!
